Preferred walk ons are promised a roster spot with the strong hope of getting a scholarship. It sounds like they're telling him he'll get the full ride when the current PK's are gone.

With the importance of kicking I'm surprised more coaches don't commit a full scholarship (or 2) to the position. They've got 85...is a 5th string left guard really more valuable?

I love that we are sort-of offering a kicker. Tyler Tate has been such a blessing. It is such a relief to know that our kicker is going out there and dependably finish Falcon scoring drives. In college football, that's an advantage.
