It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Morgan is already leaving, right? I could see Cunningham leaving for a place where he can get more playing time (Doege started and Loy got to play...and earned a scholarship now).

I think Cunningham already left. He said sophomore, sophomore, freshman. That means Doege, Loy, and an incoming freshman.
Let's hope we don't lose any more QBs.
Although he was talking about 2019. Perhaps he is talking hypothetically about possible future transfers, especially after already losing two so he wants to establish depth.

The roster shows a quarterback that was redshirted, Ricardo Marble. Perhaps that's the freshman he was referring to.

It's a jarring sentence, but I read it like you, Mark. I think he's just thinking ahead and knowing one of these guys may want to transfer once they find out they are stuck at third on the depth chart.MarkL wrote: Although he was talking about 2019. If our QBs were more spread out in terms of eligibility, they would have more hope for new opportunities as upper classmen graduate. I think that was the point.

Doege isn't going anywhere and will in all likelihood be the starter through his senior year. So Veasley will probably be redshirted this year and with all expectation be groomed to pick up the job in 2021.

I agree, jpfalcon09. My thought is that Loy will be the primary backup this year (maybe with a few packages to utilize his athleticism through the QB run) and then he will transfer after the year when he kind of gets squeezed out with Veasley taking over as the backup. I don't think Doege would transfer, as his brother is a coach here, and it's clear that he has a high ceiling and huge abilities, even as just a freshman last year. I'm looking forward to his future.
