A productive Xfer WR joins the flock...

Per Orange and Brown's blog and twitter...WR Isaiah Johnson-Mack is coming in. A former **** and *** recruit (depending on the source) he played two yeasrs at Washington State under Mike Leach. Had 60 catches for 555 yds and 5 TD's his SO year but then left to be closer to home in FL. Couldn't find an opportunity that suited him (enrolled for a year at Duquesne, but didn't play) so he's over here now.
He's got the size... 6-3, 216... we need.
No disciplinary issues (cf Guyton)... actually played up to his recruiting ranking unlike some xfrs (cf Stokes)... This is the kind of transfer I can get behind

If he sat out last season, he should be able to play immediately, right?
(Wonder why he didn't play at Duquesne.)

I'm not sure if he can play this year or not, his story is interesting. He was originally committed to The U out of HS, de-committed, then committed to Florida, de-committed and eventually ended up at WASU. He played two years at WASU, 16' and 17' and had a very productive season last year. If you look him up he had a public spat last year with Leach, he wanted to transfer closer to home (Florida) and his two kids and initially, Leach wouldn't let him go. Apparently, no FBS schools in Florida offered him a scholarship and he ended up transferring to Duquesne in the spring but never suited up for them. I would assume he would have to sit out a year but who knows.

That size ... we haven't had a productive big bodied receiver since Dieter. So long as off the field all is fine, this is a good get.

Seems like a good get. He would have to apply for a waiver to become eligible this season. My guess is he sits out 2018, although he could reasonably argue having not played last year.

He played last fall at Washington State. He transferred to Duquesne for the spring semester, and now he committed here. I assume he will have to sit out this fall here.

If that's the timeline, then yes, he probably will not be playing this fall.
