The 2023 recruiting class is officially underway.

The first commitment I have seen comes from Emable Wakilongo, a running back from Centerville HS here in Ohio.

Only D1 offer so far and is keeping his recruitment open, so I’m not banking on anything yet, but he ran a 10.6 in the 100m. That’s some legit speed there.

Alijah, but yes, this is a really good get. He had BG, Duke and ECU as his finalists and had a large number of FBS and FCS offers. Listed at 6'2" 220lbs and is a 3-time state champ going into his senior year. Looks like a good tackler with a high motor from his highlight tapes.

Brody Bolyn, a 6’3 265 OL/DL from Ossian, IN has committed to BG. He also had offers from Navy and Illinois State.

Couple more commits for 2023:

- David Afogho, 6'3" 210lbs strong safety listed as an athlete out of Boston, MA. Looks like other offers were from FCS Bryant and Rhode Island.
- Brody Bolyn, 6'3" 260lbs OL out of Ossian, IN. Listed as a 2-star with offers from Navy and a bunch of FCS and D-2 schools.

Not extremely impressed on paper, but perhaps they are diamonds in the rough or good projects.

Some other coaches have also indicated there are a couple of other commitments in the coming days.

Kids getting offers from Navy and Duke is a great character and leadership indication.

Commitment from Dalyn White, 6'4" 260 lbs DE out of Colony, TX. Also held offers from SMU, Wyoming and some FCS schools. Looks like a really nice pickup. Has great form and is a BIG body for an end with a good motor.

Nice pickup. Really good hands and has the body of a Big 10 receiver. I thought he’d end up in a P5 conference for sure.

When we fire Loellfer, wonder how many of these kids stay committed?

Jacob Harris, son of BG legend Josh Harris, has committed to playing at BGSU.

He also has an offer from Youngstown State, to date.

Always nice to get a legacy on board!

Lots of D-2 offers, but from very solid programs. Watching highlights, I would guess he is set to become a TE. With some more muscle, he has the frame, height, and jumping abilities to make an impact at that position. He doesn't seem to have the quickness or speed to be a D1 WR, from my quick glance.
