Typical low scoring, big second half effort.

That puts Miami at 2-0 in the MAC with a pair of road wins, a very nice start for the RedHawks. Tomorrow night (Wednesday) the rest of the MAC teams gets underway in conference play.

I think the thread should be entitled "Miami gets a big win on the road", not "Miami wins big on road." Afterall it was a two point margin of victory.

Disclaimer: Sorry in advance if this post offends you OandB, but Falconboy's post in women's hoops got me fired up a little this evening and I feel it in me to be a stickler tonight.

What's more, Miami won this game, on the road, against a solid NIU team.....without attempting a single free throw for the entire game! That's right, not one free throw attempt in 40 minutes of play. That's the most impressive part of the win to me.

The conference is off to a very unMAClike 0-3 for home teams (3-0 raod teams, I think). Interesting...

With the 6:00 start, BG could post the first home win in conference play! Whoo Hooo. Go Falcons.

NO FT'S????? I don't think I've ever seen that before. Big win for Miami. Looks like Charlie and Co. are solid again.

BG can get off to a good start tonight!! BEAT CMU!!! Guess I'll follow the score scrolling on ESPN and CSTV. I have a feeling the WBGU feed won't be working tonight. Anyone know if any stations on the Falcon Radio Network do feeds on the net???

Not a bit. I have changed the title of the thread. Cheers.

Well then, its time for a real comment from myself. This Miami win got me thinking about how much better the East may be than the West. Miami is perhaps ranked fourth in the East behind Buffalo, Ohio, and Akron. While NIU was probably considered the number one team in the West. NIU losing at home to Miami makes me think the West could really struggle this season. And BG could have their work cut out for them in the East this season, as if they didn't have a big enough hill to climb already with how young we are.

That was the first time(to my knowledge) in Miami's history(101years of BBall) that Miami has shot no FT's.

Like 'Freak said, I can't remember the last time I heard that happening either. Pretty impressive win under all the circumstances.
