It was great to be in Anderson Arena today. Nice crowd, competitive game, but most importantly, BG got another win. The guys played their tails off and they were rewarded for their hard work. I started getting a little worried when we blew an early 11-point lead after losing the last two games after watching 12 and 15-point leads wash away in both contests. But the guys battled back and played hard and got the win. I loved the fight the team displayed today, they just kept battling. I'll tell you what, this team is far from the most talented team we've had, but if they play with the fight they showed today, the have a chance in any game we'll play this season. And if....IF...we can avoide the dreaded transfers, academic issues, etc., after this season, the future can be very bright for this team.
But it's back to work as three of the next four are on the road and it would be great to follow this win up with another against EMU on Wednesday. But a nice win today. GO BG!!!

I suspect you've seen the last of Joplin. Like Dakich he has a contract and like BG, UT can't afford a buyout. It's up this year. Not trying to be smart but I suspect that one reason he's lasted this long is his record against BG. UT has won 8 of last 12 which may have bought him some time. Nice win for the Falcons-tell me Samarco shoots 3 of 21 and I would have us winning by 10 - 12. Soler did a great job and as usual the defensive intensity between the two teams was impressive. Congratulations! See ya at Savage!

Well, there’s no room for crow yet, as I pretty much fattened up on the football win against you guys in November and then on to that amazing win in Mobile. Still, the basketball loss sucked and I’d like to see the Rockets go 3-0 on you in the important sports (no, I don’t consider financial accounting a sport). Nonetheless, that can’t happen now, but congratulations on the win. If there’s one positive that can be found in that loss, it’s that I think you guys pretty much sealed Stan’s fate at UT. You guys would be winning the MAC if Dakich had the talent that Stan has at UT.
UT is listed in the 2004 edition of The Unofficial, Unbiased Guide to the 328 Most Interesting Colleges by Trent Anderson and Seppy Basili as one of the U.S. schools with the “Most Beautiful Urban Campus.”
