Grant, MatelaAntwerp makes a spectacular point with his post, though. I love to look at those old lists my self. It almost makes those old magazines worth keeping. Year after year, these top 25 lists are populated MOSTLY with guys who faded into the background quickly after getting to college. This is part of why I argue so vehemently that the perceived stratification between "major" and "mid-major" basketball is far larger than it actually is. When I see OSU's recruits all over this type of list, and BGs', Kent's, and Miami's are not, I take it with a grain of salt.
