I can’t wait until the Dan Dakich Farewell Tour comes to Athens in a few weeks because we’re going to crush you bad just like we did last year. Maybe we’ll even play our starters. Although, I have to admit, I’m going to miss old Dan because it’s been so much fun watching so many new players year after year come and go at BG. Such big talk. Since when has Ohio done anything this year? They were supposed to be better than BG this year anyway and they've done nothing. I fail to see how a loss by us today suddenly makes you better.

By the way, that was a nice whupping Central Michigan laid on you guys last week. I hope you enjoyed your trip to Detroit (and later to Mobile) because it'll be the last time Ohio goes anywhere. We could've played you guys last week and won again, because we always do.

IKeepItReal's commonsense grows exponentially with every post. I too was saddened to see us stoop so low as to compare marching bands after this humiliating loss. I just hope that I am done reading predictions about us winning 18-20 games, as it upsets me to think we have fans who can be so, so naive.

Dont worry everyone the bleeding will stop as hammb has already said...03/10/07 -- Coach Dakich's contract expires. Ill buy the kegs you name the place...Until then lets everyone just enjoy watching young men compete to there greatest potential. If you really want to keep it real then go support your team cheer loud and hard and quit bitching about how OU is better then us. We will see if OU is better then us when we play until then its all hearsay. Look we beat there football team, and they won more games, it didnt even matter whose band was better. The kids are playing balls out but they have and antiquited offense and no concept of defense. we need to get a coach who can instill in the team they can win and not call them losers after every shortcoming, if not then we will continue to be losers. We just need to find our Urban Meyer of hoops program to turn the whole mindset around. Until then we will have such negative thoughts hanging around like commonsense who has little and keepin it real who has not had one positive post since hes been here. and when we win Ohio Bobcat cannot be found here... so im just waiting this season out until the real program begins next year.... and that folks IS KEEPIN IT REAL

I am not sure why you tell me my thoughts are negative. I would say they are a very accurate summary of what is and has gone on in this program. I have made no false claims abouts statistics or factual information. I have said two things about this season. 1- the season will be a success if we win 10 games. I also said that the new guys we have are not better than the guys we lost from last year (Wright, Floyd, and Soler). Nothing to this point has changed my opinion. I am not sure what you want to hear from me, but I will not get caught up in the hype. I was ridiculed last year for my predictions and observations, only to end up being right. It is not hard to see what is going on in this program. It is not an insult to anyone to tell the truth of what is going on.

Also, I assure you that commonsense and IKeepItReal are separate entities. However, I would not be surprised at all if Tricky_Falcon and Corky from "The Wonder Years" are, in fact, one and the same. Now I'm dipping down to your level, and I'll stop. I realize that you guys have to stoop to comparing marching bands and throwing around false accusations to make you feel better about yourselves and our university, so I'm not too offended. I just don't understand what the problem is with admitting and accepting the fact that we have a bad team. I want us to win, and a win is a pleasant surprise, but I'm not living in a fantasy world like most on this board. I, on the other hand, have commonsense.

While, I agree that the marching band stuff is lame, I also think that the fighting between and among fans of underachieving, irrelevant programs is even more lame. Guys, get a life. Let's drop all this ego and smack and just enjoy the season.
