Any hope for a good hire after the awful Football schedule?

Post by Globetrotter »

Does anyone have hope for a good hire after the awful football schedule? I assume we will have more incompetence here. I am becoming more and more disconnected with this universitys athletics and the enjoyment I had as a student.

Well, I wouldn't give up hope on the hoops. However, given our pay structure and facilities and the number of openings, I think we are going to have to find a diamond in the rough.

Easy there...I don't think anyone is well served going down this road. Yes the football scheedule is, for the second year in a row, very disappointing.

I'm not aware of all the facets that went into this debacle...I'm willing to grit my teeth and accept the notion that our brand new AD was a tad bit too eager to deal away today for tommorrow.

That said....why don't we give the guy a chance to conduct a thorough search of the interested candidates, conduct some interviews and find the best man or woman (...yeah...I know) for the job.

Besides...falconboy is already working the "everything is going to suck" side of the street and we simply don't have room for two of you. :-)

Sry, I did not see the schedule until just before I made this post initially. As all of you had cooled down, I was getting fired up. I just wanted to put my mark on the issue before I let it passed. I know that everyone was thinking "Why hasn't globetrotter weighed in on this yet" or "I wonder what globetrotter thinks about this." I just wanted to appease all of these people by making sure that they knew for that moment not only did I think the sky was falling in football but that our wonderful AD was going to be able to put his mark on this basketball team too.

Globe: It may SHOCK you to learn that I never ONCE considered what you thought about the football schedule and/or the Bball coaching search ..I'd prefer to wait til things cool down a bit before I jumped to any conclusions about either sport. ;-)
