We've heard that Austin Calhoun's academic situation is that same as Chris Knight's when he arrived. Chris Knight, if I'm not mistaken, wasn't actually on scholarship last year and had to pay his own way. If that's the case for Calhoun, then we actually DO have a scholarship to give for 08-09, and Calhoun would not consume a scholarship until 09-10.
Tswam, don't leave us hanging like this, man! What else do you know about this kid? Where do you get your information?

Doesn't Calhoun have all year to take and retake the SAT to become eligible from the get go?Falconboy wrote:Would this mean Calhoun would not be able to play as a freshman? What the heck, we can split the diff and say he's 6-6 and 1/2 as a junior. WIth another 1.5 years of growth, he'll be 6-8 by the time he arrives in BG.h2oville rocket wrote:Once again the poor kid has lost an inch just since the first post. Unless you want to turn him into a point guard you need to stop posting about him.
So, what's this kid's deal? He's a scorer and seems to be involved in many phases of the game. Is he an outside shooter? A slasher? Is he a three, or will he add 40 pounds and bang in the post?

Me thinks and I hope he's a slasher 2/3 combo guard/SF that can handle the ball well , drive to hoop and shoot well from outside. It seems that this kid can do those things from what little is said about him, but we'll see. I had a completely different idea of the kind of player that Larson was gonna be, until I saw him in person.BleedOrange wrote:What the heck, we can split the diff and say he's 6-6 and 1/2 as a junior.
