I must say I am excited

I think we might just have the best forward duo in the MAC.
A Center combo that is solid with a player in Polk that I feel is just going to break out soon. He currently leads the MAC in Blocked shots and FG%. That Duo will be even better with Marschall there to eat some minutes.
We just beat UC.
We have a couple of big athletic guards who should help us defensively when it comes to the tournament.
What this team lacks is outside shooting and a consistent ball handler.
From what I remember teams that have gotten far in the MAC tourney usually had a bunch of athletic guards or some stud big man or at the very least are just consistent.

This front court of Miller/Knight/Polk/Larson is looking VERY strong right now. Probably one of the best in the MAC. If Marschall can come back healthy and give us 8-12 ppg, it would be icing.

Like you said, I'm afraid the guard play is what's going to hold this team back. Moten is our only consistent outside threat, but it appears as though his defense is not yet good enough for him to earn steady playing time. Jakubowski looked good scoring yesterday, but I'd like to see him distribute a little more. Hamblet & Clements are NOT point guards, so we really need Joe to step up this year.

It's a long season, and really it doesn't technically count till the MAC tourney the way things have been for this conference. If the two Centers continue to develop with Knight & Miller playing well I like our front court a lot. If Jakubowski can become that consistent PG this team can be real good come MAC tourney time. Hamblet & Moten are serviceable at the 2 spot. Depth could be an issue, especially if Knight or Miller ever find themselves in foul trouble...we NEED them both on the floor for 30 mpg.

All in all it's just going to be fun watching this team play & develop over the year. Coach Orr's system is infinitely more fun to watch than what we're accustomed to.

3 games into the Orr-Era and he already has a signature win under his belt. I know its just Morehead State coming up, but I would love to see AA packed in support of this team on Saturday.

OSU/UM game is that day. They moved back the tipoff so that it really doesn't interfere, but you know how many people have parties and whatnot that they go to for that game.

I'm afraid that will limit attendance, but a good deal of the basketball fans should be there; after this weekend how can anyone not be excited?
