I may be wrong, but I think it's only a violation if the athlete asks that it not be released. Again, I don't know for sure.Originally posted by BGDrew:

Much better to have this academic information released than the rumors and gossip that might be created when no information is released.threestooges wrote:I may be wrong, but I think it's only a violation if the athlete asks that it not be released. I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.
I really hate for anybody to be ineligible as a senior. Now it's time for Moten to step up his efforts. I really like his aggresiveness early in the season. Now I hope he can get his confidence up with the extended playing time he will be getting. I also hope Clements can be consistent after scoring 18 points this past game. Maybe Matt Karuffa can get some playing time?

I don't think "Sad" is the right word... I really think it's pathetic.

Agreed. The NCAA doesn't ask that much of athletes to just stay freakin' eligible.ZiggyZoomba wrote:I don't think "Sad" is the right word... I really think it's pathetic.
Hell if he really hated schoolwork that much he wouldn't have had to even attend any classes the second semester, just get through the first semester eligible.
Personally, he should have his scholarship for the 2nd semester revoked. If he cannot show the dedication to attend class when he's playing, why should they pay his tuition once he's done? Of course, if he cannot bring himself to go to class with basketball on the line, I'm guessing that he wouldn't be real interested in continuing his education anyhow.

We COULD be FSU?
Think positive guys, Florida State is not dressing THIRTY SIX players for their bowl game! Combos of grades, cheating, injuries etc., but that's a HECK of a lot of empty sideline!
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
