Mayor Fink Kicks Marines out of Toledo

I saw this earlier. What a piece of s**t. I wonder when he'll announce his plans to run for mayor of Berkely?

No crap! Total dick move. The Marines FRIGHTEN PEOPLE?! In Downtown Toledo? Hell, I'd think they'd feel more safe with armed Marines patrolling.

More seriously, what the hell people are going to be frightened? Has he ever been to downtown Toledo on a weekend in February? THERE'S NOBODY DOWN THERE! The downtown in Toledo has been revitalized by the Hens, and it's always a good time in the summer, and of course all the businesses during the week. But seriously, this time of year there is almost nothing going on downtown, completely ridiculous that he wouldn't let them conduct their training.

What a tool.

I'm not Finkbiener fan and this has nothing to do with people being scared and everything to do, I suspect, with CF's need to wield authority, but a couple years ago they were down there on a Friday afternoon. LOTS of people around and these guys came pouring out of the building I was walking past firing their weapons and yes, people were scared. I kinda figured it was an exercise its still a little disconcerting. I got a fair amount of brass from that one sitting in my office. Communication around this event hasn't ever been very good.

On the UT board RangerRocket has already proposed singing the Marine Hymn when Finbiener shoots. I just rolled in from Puerto Rico so I will miss it. Good luck, Falcons. I hope we only win by one.
