Season-Opening 4-Team Round-Robin Tourney

Post by GaStPanthers »

Hello,

First, I want to say thanks to Grant for activating my account.

The word on our board (www.caazone.com) and Minnesota Gopher board is that this 4 Team Round-Robin Tourney will be hosted in Minnesota and sponsored by the NABC.

So far all we know is that us (Georgia State), you guys, and Minnesota is playing in it. Do you guys have any more details? Know who the 4th team is?

Look forward to hearing from you guys.

First I've heard of this. However, I have heard rumors that we may be in the Coaches vs. Cancer tourney with the likes of Michigan and UMass.

According to the Minnesota board the tourney with us, Minnesota, and you guys (assuming you guys are in fact in the tourney) will be played November 14th to 16th. I don't know how or if that may conflict with the Coaches v. Cancer tourney.

I don't see any spam... yet.

Thanks for the info. Sounds a bit like how we started off last season, if not a little more competitive (depending on what's expected out of Ga State and who the fourth team may be)

Thanks for the info. Always nice to try and piece together the non-conference schedule.

Looks like the 4th team in the NABC classic will be Concordia University a Division II team out of St. Paul, MN.

Some folks on the GSU board and the Minn. board are hoping that Concordia is a place holder in case they can't get another team.

I looked at Concordia's schedule ( http://www.cugoldenbears.com/basketballm/schedule.html ) and there is no mention the NABC Classic. Also they have a game scheduled on Nov. 15th - which is the middle day of the classic.

So I guess we'll have to see. But I don't think this affects any of the DI schools playing in the event.
