over Christmas; home game ideas

Post by basketballcontact »

Any ideas for drawing better crowds (2,000+) while the students are gone for Christmas?

12/21 against IPFW

1/2 against Buffalo (should be a great contest, both teams should have pretty solid records coming into the MAC season)

1/9 against Northern Illinois

Free admission to the UB game with a GMAC Bowl ticket stub?? I'll be there for the UB and NIU games, but the IPFW game is likely a no-go since I should be on my way to Mobile that night.

Two words for you...Foghat...concert. Maybe you could have Dan and the boys sing Christmas carols with the crowd after the 12/21 game.

How about a ticket promotion where you get all three tickets for the price of two or something? Or bring your ticket stubs from the first two games and get in free to the third?

Portable brass poles for the dance team's routine. And pasties, too.

How about a drawing at the 12/21 game for a pair flights and tickets to the GMAC bowl leaving on Wednesday?

I like this idea. I want to come and so do my parents, as we're from Fort Wayne (IPFW) and my mom used to work there. We are all BG fans of course, but I know they wouldn't want to have to pay for two tickets plus one for my sister. Cheaper admission or package deals or free admission for graduates =) =)
