1-0 In the M.A.C.

Post by The Niz »

Man does that ever feel good to say. Feels even better to say We're undefeated at home!

Yeah its disappointing to see them give up these late game runs, but they are still winning. Winners WIN, and right now, we're WINNING!
Yeah right girl!

BG had control of this game for much of the way. Buffalo hit a few treys to get rolling late but we had clutch free throw shooting down the stretch. Way to keep the unbeaten home streak going, fellas.

Big game Wed night at Kent State...I won't miss this one like I had to miss the ladies game there last week. Kent lost to Ohio today in Athens, 71-65, I think. With home games to follow with Akron and Miami, a win at Kent would be huge. We've played pretty well there over the last 4 or 5 years and Kent isn't quite what they usually are.

8-6, 1-0 MAC....diggin' that!

It was very cool to meet Coach Clawson at the game yesterday...

GO FALCONS!!!!

Wait, you can't just drop that on us. Was it covered by the media? Were pictures taken? Did Coach Clawson survive? I mean, this is AN EVENT! New Coach meets Falcon Freak!

LOL. It was pretty low keyed as GC told me later he had an interview for a possible assistant that day. He seems like a straight shooter. Looking forward to see how he does!

It was great to finally meet him! I asked him how he liked BG so far. He responded, "It's great! I'm undefeated here!!! He said, "I'm the only undefeated Division 1 Coach in the country...well except for Miami....and Eastern!" I said, "Eastern...undefeated?? That's FUNNY!!!" We all laughed at that one!!! He also said that he and his wife had put a bid on a house that day.

btw, AAF, when Feak pointed out that Clawson was there (we were up in the "beverage" area at half time). I told him to get over there and introduce himself!! Freak said, "I don't want to start stalking him yet!!!" :-D I, of course, wasn't going to let him pass up a chance to meet the new football coach!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I don't know what to do. Stay in BG and watch the women's game? or go to Kent and watch men's game. I haven't been to a women's game yet, and already been to 3 away men's games. I just don't what to do!! I think the weather will be the deciding factor... as it is suppose to snow all day wednesday.. blah....

But anyways GOOO FALCONS, let's make it 2-0 in the MAC! and end our road losing streak!
Go Falcons!
