Stroh Center to Include "Anderson Club"

Post by Redwingtom »

Pretty cool!

"Harold Anderson's legacy has been embraced on this campus since Anderson Arena opened," BG athletics director Greg Christopher said. "Including the Anderson name in the Stroh Center was important for us. I'm excited that we will continue to honor coach Anderson in a visible and meaningful way."

This is great news! I'm hoping that more detailed renderings of the Stroh will be released soon!

Is there any mention of a space for the Athletics Musuem that Coach Cochrane maintains? That is something that definitely needs to be part of the plan.

I got my Stroh Center solicitation in the mail yesterday.

It made a point of saying something like "get your name in the Stroh Center", but nowhere in the material did it say where one's name would be. Bricks? Wall plaque? Urinal Handle?

Hopefully the mailing will be successful.

I haven't received anything via mail or e-mail...are the going after the season ticket holders first and then Alumni? I would definitely be interested in a brick paver or something similar!

We got one in the mail last week and I noticed the same thing. It also did not say how much you needed to contribute to get your name wherever it was to go. There were some checkboxes with amounts way too high for me, but there was a space for "other". So, if I gave a smaller amount would my name appear anywhere? I'd like to know!

Also, the mailer was addressed to my wife so that mailing list must have been for parents of students I guess???

Got our request for contributions yesterday (7/21)....you're right...it's odd that they don't mention WHERE each level of donations would appear...perhaps they haven't officially decided yet...but again, it's odd that this wouldn't be included with the request.

BTW Grant, I'm pleased with the "new look"...was this a result of the hackers..or was it planned previously? :D

Yes. :-) I'd installed and tested the new version, but hadn't been ready to "flip the switch." The hackers accelerated the process. In the end, I'm glad to have the upgrade in place. Still didn't get to tweak everything I wanted to tweak, but I can do that as time progresses.

Glad you like it!

They must want my money pretty bad. We got two requests in the mail already. :o
