Talk seems to have died down in here.
We have two vacant assitant coaching slots, who would you all like to see fill them?
No...not everyone can say "Stacey and Pardon!!"

Coach Shaun Vandiver has taken the #1 assistant job at Northern Colorado. It sounds like a pretty good step up for him and it gets him back to the area where he played his college ball.BGorDeath wrote:I must have missed the news...but who has left as assistants?
The word I heard this weekend was that coach Andy Markowski had also resigned and was getting out of coaching alltogether, in favor of a job where he could devote more time to his family.
Best of luck to both of them! I had the pleasure of having Shaun over as a guest at my house a month or two ago for steaks on the grill after he spoke at the Woodmore basketball camp. If there's a nicer guy around, I haven't met him!

Wow, I hadn't heard that Vandiver left. He was a very, very nice guy. This is also a big loss for the BG High Battlin' Bobcats who lose a very talented girls basketball player in his daughter.
As far as filling the slots. . .hmmmmmm.......
If Lamon Pippen is busy then I say lets go with former BG graduate assistant and former Michigan assistant Tom Sorboro.

Despite the somewhat sarcastic turn this thread made a few blocks back, I really like the idea of Shane Kline-Ruminski. I wonder what he is doing right now? He was a great guy who had trouble with academics, then buckled down and was a solid player and class guy- despite that ugly "T" he got for hanging on the rim at Ohio State- that was just horrible the way he did a chin up on that Big 10 rim. . . .
