Detroit being led by a pair of Indiana transfers
A pair of former Indiana transfers, Eli Holman (14.9 ppg, 9.4 rpg) & Xavier Keeling (14.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg), are leading Detroit this year in scoring, respectively. I watched some of Detroit's game against Michigan the other day and both players looked very solid as Keeling went for 18 pts & Holman finished with 17 pts. The Titans' fourth leading scorer is Central Michigan transfer Chase Simon who is averaging 11.6 ppg & 5.6 rpg. It looks like we'll be in for a strong test up there and this is not the same Detroit team that finished 7-23 last year as the Titans have already won six games this season.

Re: Detroit being led by a pair of Indiana transfers
I did my undergrad at Detroit and follow the team pretty closely. Holman's been hurt, but the Titans have a week off before the BG game. He missed the previous three games at home. Guess our coach wanted the Michigan win, or Holman's improving. Better second half rebounding, fewer missed layups, and a few more visits to the line and that would have been a win. The Titans aren't great yet by any stretch, but yes, this should really be a test for BG. Or the Titans will come out flat like they did against Tennessee State and BG will also steal one at Calihan. Who knows.

Isn't the Detroit head coach the former IU assistant who was stabbing Dakich in the back when he was trying to keep the IU basketball team together during the Sampson fiasco?

AKA, The I U assistant stabbing Dan in the back. He was just looking out for himself and was pissed because he was on Sampson's staff before Dakich was and I think that pissed him off as the University let Dan run the remaining season and not give a look to McCallumprofessorjackson wrote:No, the Detroit head coach is former IU assistant Ray McCallum.
