As I watch the NCAA tournament I thought of a question that maybe someone may know the answer. If you watch the games you will notice all the flooring is the same. Light colored hardwood, the big blue NCAA at center court. The top of the key is painted blue and the baseline is solid black with blue wording. All the scorers tables are set up identical and all computerized.
With all that said, when BGSU hosts the Women's first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament who is responsible for picking up all those costs? Who installs the flooring? Do they take out our NEW floor? What happens with the floor after the tournament? Just curious if anyone has any information.

It looks like they bring in the floor and install it on top of the existing floor. Here are three links about the process:

Pretty sure for the women's they don't use that same basic floor design until the Sweer Sixteen and Elite Eight rounds (at least from what I remember from last year). We'll find out tomorrow thoughgmartin wrote:As I watch the NCAA tournament I thought of a question that maybe someone may know the answer. Re: NCAA Tournament Arena question?
I was informed that we will not have to worry about this as we will not have this special floor for our tourney games.gmartin wrote: With all that said, when BGSU hosts the Women's first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament who is responsible for picking up all those costs?
