FANTASTIC news as far as I'm concerned.
I've been saying for years the MAC needed to do something to penalize teams for not even trying at basketball. This league needs to schedule better, and it needs to pay some coaches to stay here (if they ever find good ones). The fall of MAC basketball over the past 10 years has been monumental.
Hopefully when teams start to suffer financial consequences they'll start to schedule somebody and hopefully win some games.

Ahhh, our dormant Comish finally surfaces with some semblance of a plan in something. Steinbrecher’s comp package must have a huge bonus on doing nothing but 'assess the situation'. This is good news however but I wish we had more detail on whether this will have the necessary teeth to get some of our member programs (ummm, like BG) to get it going. Adding incentive for 6 more home games against Wooster doesnt really make sense. The MAC really needs to wake up and strap it on over the next decade or we will become the next WAC.
