RIP Rick Majerus

Post by gmartin »

Former Ball State, Utah and St Louis coach Rick Majerus has passed away at the age of 64. He died from an ongoing heart condition. My favorite moment was back in 1988 when Rick was coaching Ball State. He did not like how the officials were calling the game. At halftime, instead of going back into the locker room with his team, he sat at the scores table waiting for the officials to come back on to the court. He will be missed.

He usually put together very good teams. I'm sure his players enjoyed his presence.

He was Awesome! Rest In Peace big fella.

I was going to put a funny Rick Majerus quote on this post, but i came across this website. If you ever heard Coach Majerus speak you will be in tears of laughter:

He was definitely a personality in college basketball. But, I don't share the same warm sentiments for him. Heard some real horror stories about him.
