Harass him the minute he comes through the tunnel to the floor until he goes back into the locker room at the end of the game.
I never saw him or I might have! Of course I don't look for coaches in the stands before games start...

Can someone explain the whole sterilization concept. As I understand it some have claimed that not allowing students on the floor after games in Anderson Arena would cause some students to not come to games, and those who do come would just stand or sit with their thumbs in a body cavity. So to extend this line of thinking; hockey fans are not as into the hockey games because the cannot get onto the playing surface after that game. Is that correct? If so then I think that may be the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. What happens during the game and after the game are separate. If someone were to say they would not attend games simply because they cannot come onto the playing surface then I say we don't need them anyway. Some also say this a freek occurance. And I agree with this. However, would we be brushing off this accident if we had lost last night at Central Michigan? If we would have had Fitch the game may not have been as close as it was. We need everyone we have Saturday because the Convo at Ohio University is not an easy place to play. This may have been a freek occurance, but once is enough. Lets fix it now and not have to worry about it in the future.

I was thinking the same thing about hockey Matt.

Why don't the fans rush the ice after a big win?

A true fan isn't going to let a little thing like the boards and glass get in his way, is he?After all, it is the students right to be out there. They pay the money to attend the university and to go to the games. It is "THEIR" rink.

I can think of two very good reasons to not hit the ice at a hockey game.

1. It's slippery

2. hockey players carry sticks and they know how to use them
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I know this isn't a laughable topic but those are some hilarious points

And some of them don't need their sticks to get their point across!!! A hit by Sitko and you'll be introduced to the ice rather quickly!!!

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Well, for one, I am way too damn short to get my ass up, let alone over, the boards and the glass. By the time someone hoists my 5'6"-ness over, the team will already be in the locker room, haha...

So waht happens the next time people rush the court and get near Germaine and he decks someone because he thinks they are going to touch him? If it's your right to rush the floor isn't it his right to defend himself?

Then, unfortunately, Germain gets hit with a lawsuit. It's a vicious circle.
