Re: BG/Akron...
Does that 6-10 xfer count this year or next?
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

He is already on scholarship.

Re: BG/Akron...
Holmes breaks the school record for blocked shots. Grabs 8 boards, 4 on each end. Blocks 4 total shots and scores 15 points on 5-6 shooting. He did this on the road against by far the best competition in the conference. Although this was his best game of the year, he has had these type of big nights really all season. Yet, we are lucky if he plays 25+ minutes. Makes sense.
Re: BG/Akron...
All MAC type player that comes off the bench getting irregular minutes.
Luke Kraus a regular starter.
Insane.

Re: BG/Akron...
The same who coach who found a way to get James Erger into 25 games as a freshman, but struggles to find playing time for guys like Clarke, Henderson, and Sealey. This staff is a complete joke.

Re: BG/Akron...
These opposing coaches must be in tears laughing at the minutes played by our players when they are going over their scouting report for their upcoming game with us. It is an absoulute farse the minutes Holmes has logged this year. Orr needs to be held accountable and needs to explain to his fans (whoever they are) why in fact he is not averaging at least 28 minutes per game.

Re: BG/Akron...
Just saw today that he is averaging 19 minutes. Haha. He is not even playing half the game on most nights. Its mind boggling.
Re: BG/Akron...
I would suspect the 3 to 4 hundred fans in attendance are season ticket holders. Those with high expectations at the onset of the season. This AD is not being fair to the b'ball fans remaining - What is he doing to improve the product?

Well it's partly because Orr refuses to use Sealey at the 3, therefore 10 minutes per continue to be wasted on Erger. Rather than having Holmes back up both Calhoun and Black, Orr has a specific guy go in to replace each guy. It's like a substitution pattern you would use when playing video games. Holmes only shot at 25 minutes in Cam Black gets 2 fouls in the 1st half. Also, it looks as if we basically won't see Henderson again until next year, when we will need him to shoot 10 plus times a game to score 50 points per game. #FireOrr

I've been complaining about this for Orr's entire tenure. He has it set in his mind who his starters are and who the backups are at every position and never considers playing a guy slightly out of position to get the best 5 guys on the court at the same time. Just recently we've seen some of Sealey at the 3, but it took until this late in the year to go there? WHY!?
Sealey should be easily averaging 20+ minutes per night as a combo forward. I'm not here saying that he's god's gift to MAC basketball, but he's absolutely one of our best 5-6 players and should be playing as such.

Crawford, Orr, Sealey, Calhoun, Holmes. I don't think we have seen this lineup once. I would sure as heck like to see it. Crawford/Orr/Calhoun could stretch the defense with the ability to hit 3's. Our rebounding would improve significantly. And We would actually have some legit length AND athleticism on the court at the same time.
No one could convince me otherwise that this lineup would be worse than any sort of lineup featuring Kraus, Erger and/or Cam Black. As for Henderson, I don't understand what the h*** happened. He went from being a guy who could provide offense, hit 3's and at least was is an athletic guard who also contributed with rebounding. He moved into the starting lineup and was playing pretty good minutes. And now, he is lucky to see 5 minutes. It simply does not make sense. He actually has shown legit promise. He was pretty productive in MAC play early on. Had 13 at CMU and hit some huge 3's down the stretch against EMU to finish with 9. Not saying he is amazing, but we are certainly going to need him the next 2 years and there is no way he is less productive than the guys playing ahead of him. And at least he is worthy of having a D1 scholarship.

What is outright infuriating about this scenario is that Coach Orr has chosen TO PLAY HIS OWN KID IN FRONT OF A CLEARLY SUPERIOR PLAYER - Sealey.
Can we make a case for favoritism? I don't know, but I don't know how else to explain it. Has anyone heard Orr address this question?

Re: BG/Akron...
Orr hasn't been forced to answer a tough question since he was hired. When put in a tough spot like answering to the Central Michigan loss, it became all scripture and no substance.

Re: BG/Akron...
If Orr stays for next year (and we'll no immediately after the MAC tourney), it will be interesting to see if the assistants start bailing and taking other jobs. I'd wonder if a guy like Stone is willing to go down with ship.

Re: BG/Akron...
Stone shouldn't have a choice. He has been a part of 10 pretty much awful seasons here. A staff shake up should have already happened.
