Looks like another good hire by Kingston.

John Wagner must be on vacation.

Seems like a solid decision. The guy has been successful everywhere he's been at.

I'd take a five-year plan from him like Dave Clawson gave us...slow and methodical rebuild leading to a MAC Championship (NCCA bid) and then unfortunately we lose him to a bigger program with deeper pockets.

I'd take that...would you?

I guess methodical improvement beats none. But I really hope it doesn't take 5 years. I don't expect a MAC title next year, but they do return 5 of the top 6 contributors from this season. This group was in every conference game except the one at buffalo. Hopefully a change of leadership or philosophy or outlook or whatever will make next year enjoyable.

He is an ex Juco coach and we have 3 available scholarships. I expect this to take not very long at all.

The situation here isn't as bad as it was in football and basketball lends itself to a faster turnaround....if he's the right guy, we'll be contending after a two year rebuild. Hell..with Parker and Holmes at forward, we could be decent next year with the right guards

But another "big" still is needed with Cam Black gone. Too bad he doesn't have another yr. as he was really improved by the end of the season.

Holmes is so good around the basket...I think we just need Gomez to set a high screens and hit the occasional jumper from inside the arc to have an effective "big" on offense. We need a PG to orchestrate and a shooter to stretch the D a bit and we'll have a functional starting five.
