Damn the NFL. That spot was hilarious. I loved the part where the lady says "We don't want any accidents", and the guy next her grumbles "I think I just had one" and gets up and leaves.ZiggyZoomba wrote:FYI, there is some interesting news regarding that Godaddy ad here:transfer2BGSU wrote:I loved that GoDaddy.com commercial on Super Bowl Sunday!

I realize he hasn't played many minutes, which is another factor in the "all-freshman team" idea. I'm glad to see the potential is there, and he definitely proved that last night, I just thought it was a little early to say at this point, right now, that he should be on the all-freshman team. *shrug* I'm sure now that he's proven himself in a game situation, Dakich will be more comfortable putting him in there to give Josh and Cory some breaks at other points of the game, and he very well may prove himself worry of postseason honors. And I hope he does.hammb wrote: Yeah but it also includes a lot of games where he has played one or two minutes. Scott can play.
I've thought for awhile that he could at least be serviceable to give Eyink & Almanson a rest in the paint, but looked better than I could've imagined last night. Its insane to expect that kind of effort on a daily basis from a freshman, but I'd like to see him continue to get a chance. Whenever he's played this season he has displayed an ability to time his leap and be long in blocking shots.

Scott played an awesome game last night. Mrs. Freak kept telling me to quiet down every time he blocked a shot thinking my yelling would wake up the Freaklings. I couldn't help it! That got me pumped big time! I hope his minutes increase.
Great win by the team last night....Time to get the broom out.
BEAT UT!!

I get the same thing from Mrs. Warthog when I watch games at home. What's wrong with these women? :coo-coo:Falconfreak90 wrote: Mrs. Freak kept telling me to quiet down every time he blocked a shot thinking my yelling would wake up the Freaklings.

Oh, I agree. I believe OU's starting Center was also a true frosh, and he's been having a fantastic year. I don't think Scott is yet worthy of all-Freshmen type honors, but I was just pointing out that a big reason his per game stats suck is that he plays so few minutes on most occasions.TG1996 wrote: I realize he hasn't played many minutes, which is another factor in the "all-freshman team" idea. I still think he's best used, right now, as a guy who can give you 15-20 mins a game. Let him start, if that motivates him, but don't be counting on him to carry any sort of load. He's our best downlow defender, and it could be huge down this stretch run to not ask so much of Josh.
Speaking of nicknames for Vandermeer, my friends and I call him The VanGangleer. You see, he is gangly...as in tall and skinny.......bahhhhhhh....it is funny in my circle of friends....Germainefitch1 wrote:Don't get too caught up in your english degree.
I made a post on here a few weeks back asking why he wasnt playing more because he would have to be the guy to step up in the middle next year with the graduation of Eyink, Almanson and Reimold. In that post I called him Vanderheir.

Hammb, I echo your sentiments about Scott's developments and flashes throughout the season. I remember at DePaul he got in a few minutes and I really liked how he timed his shot block attempts and remember Dakich saying he is the best shot blocker he has had in his time here. I hope he gets into the rotation more now.hammb wrote:He's our best downlow defender, and it could be huge down this stretch run to not ask so much of Josh.
As for your quote above, this became extremely evident during the OU contest. We were able to juxtapose the two defensive situations- one with Scott in and the other with him on the bench- and as a Bobcat would drive there was no question it became much harder for them to get clean looks 8ft and in with Scott in the game. I remember Josh getting set and extending his arms skyward and thinking, man I wish Scott was still in there. . .
