BG V Drake

Post by Globetrotter »

Started from the Bottom now we're here.

Drake is awful. I don't know how the Basketball team is though.

Looks like we can watch on video. Exciting.

Info about Drake I could find.

They finished the season 15–16, 6–12 in MVC play to finish in a tie for eighth place. They lost in the first round of the Missouri Valley Tournament to Evansville.

Looks like the starters for their exhibition were
Chris Caird 6-6 SR 8.5ppg 24starts
Jacob Enevold 7-0 SO 5pg
Jordan Daniels 5-10 SR G (10 starts 2014, 10.2ppg)
Reed Timmer (12pts in exhibition) FRESHMAN 6-1 G
Ore ARogundade FRESHMAN 6-3 G

Guys who played more than 10 minutes off the bench
CJ Rivers (13minutes) FRESHMAN 6-2 G
Karl Madison (24minutes) 5-11 SR
Gary Ricks 6-1 Sr (24minutes and led the team with 24 points) 8games, 8 starts 2014, 12.3ppg
Trevor Berkeley (23minutes) 6-6 SR 19 starts

So a 7 footer, 5 SRs and 3 Freshman in the rotation for the exhibition game.

Doesn't look like a great team but with a bunch of Upperclassmen guards and our team just starting to gel. You never know.

I bet we play a lot of heavy guard lineups.

Everyone loves the Drake....
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

A couple things: they're known as good shooters and current CMU coach Keno Davis coached there for a year.

And continuing the party...

7 min into the game and 10 players have played. BG shooting 70%. Can't get over the fact that 10 players have ready played.

Did we have 10 at any point last season? I mean 10, not counting the sweatsuit squad?

Greetings from Wichita. ShockerNation is watching.

Midway through the first half and BG up by 8 and on a pace to score 90+. Way to go!

No video, so relying upon ESPN's gamecast. Looking at the gamecast, the Jans era has started well. I cannot wait to see them play!

Very balanced scoring. Lots of assists (11), steals (6), blocked shots (4), and very few TO's (2). 2 TO's'S in a half! That's remarkable.

Jans is not deviating from how he worked at WSU. Jans was also the main opponent scout and game planner at WSU. I think you're going to enjoy having him on campus.
