Richaun Holmes

Post by Falco_peregrinusana »

Is there a place for Richaun Holmes in the NBA?? Despite the fact that Richaun is very athletic, I am inclined to believe that he would, at his height, have difficulty getting a look in the NBA. However, Rodman was his height, became a beast, and found a lot of success in the NBA with limited offensive skills... I am very curious as to what you all think...

Holmes will get paid to play, it just won't be in the NBA IMO.

You have to remember that there are 15 spots on a roster and something like 9-11 actually play. Richaun is a bit undersized for his position but his length and the quickness and timing of his jumps make him play a bit longer. His offensive post game is developing but very raw. What will be enticing for teams and his possible development are his shot blocking and his range on his jumper. He can be a stretch 4 offensively and you have to remember that he has always been the best player on the floor for BG during his time here. In the NBA he would just play a niche role. He might be used more as a utility guy. Defensively I would worry about his height and his lateral quickness for the 4 and 3 positions. There are tons of guys who are in the NBA who don't have ideal athleticism or size. They find a niche. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he never made it or he found a spot for a few years on the fringes of an NBA roster.
