Gomez
Don't know if anyone has noticed, but Josh Gomez has been getting a lot more P.T. In last few weeks....and has helped out well. He gives us another "BIG" when Holmes needs a breather. Had 6pts vs Miami, in which he was our 2nd leading scorer until Denny went hot in last 10 min. Of game. I know many have made fun of him in past....just thought he should be getting some praise when he contributes well.

Re: Gomez
I think every player that has been criticized in the past could be a significant role player in the right system or in the right situation. I reserve most (I hope) of my criticism of these players for that exact reason and the fact I wish I could have been as good as the worst player on the roster.
And for Gomez I'm happy for him that he seems to have found his role. Good for him and good for the team.

Re: Gomez
Great game by him. Really played like a guy that can be a solid rotational player in 2015-2016. Might be a nice 10-15 minute guy to go with Worrell and Friday and ease the transition.

Maybe he will lead us to the Promised Land......If that is the case Retire his Number.

Re: Gomez
Nice stat line against St. Francis. I'll take 10 points and 7 boards per game in 2015-16 season.
He did that in 28 minutes and was a +15. Doubt he gets that many minutes on average next year, but if he can be productive when he's in, it will certainly make things work for the team. Downside is he is not a banger, we need one of those on the roster to balance things out.

Early in the season folks in our section, and I'll admit I joined in, made fun of Gomez. Fouls, awkwardness, etc. But he has made the most of his opportunities and I'm extremely happy for him. I actually kinda wondered what we would look like with Gomez and Holmes in at the same time.

Re: Gomez
Gomez has looked clueless on defense early on. If he has corrected this, then with his reasonable offense and speed, he can really help us next year.
