Spots 2-9 are pretty tight, eh?

1. Miami (10-3)
2. Western Michigan (9-5)
3. Ohio (8-5, 3-1 vs. other 9-5 teams)
4. Bowling Green (8-5, 3-2 vs. other 8-5 teams)
5. Toledo (8-5, 2-2 vs. other 8-5 teams)
6. Kent State (8-5, 0-3 vs. other 8-5 teams)
7. Akron (7-5)
8. Buffalo (8-6)
9. Ball State (7-6)
10. Northern Illinois (5-9)
11. Eastern Michigan (4-9)
12. Marshall (2-11)
13. Central Michigan (2-12)

I would be thrilled if that is how the standings ended up. A first round home game against an awful team, a possible second round matchup against a team that always chokes in the MAC tourney, and a potential semifinal matchup against Miami. I haven't seen Miami yet this year and their record is very impressive, but I would much rather see them than Kent State or Western Michigan early on.

Looking at the rest of our schedule, I can see us finishing 4-1 (3 home wins over BSU, Miami, and CMU) and stealing 1 against NIU, while losing at WMU. I would think that 12-6 may win the Division, but certainly should allow us to finish 3-4.

I don't think we are good enough to call any MAC team awful. It's a pretty balanced league and I don't think any game in this conference is a given.

We are beating them at home...I will leave it at that.

Almost as big as the 2 pt loss on our home floor to Akron. :(

This team has as good as any team at winning the MAC title...and the tourney. This is the biggest win for the program in a few years, IMO.

BEAT Ball State!!!

We lost to WMU on our floor back on 1/15. BG travels to WMU 3/2. If we can win at Kent, we can win anywhere.
