This is good news. Something positive after a string of negatives. Looks like Wiggins just made up his mind tonight. 5 other D1 Mid-Major offers. Here is his tweet from around 8 pm tonight:

Demajeo Wiggins @dmajeowigg "Blessed to say I have officially committed to Bowling Green State University! I want to thank everyone that has recruited me!"

Senior Season 14-15 Highlights of Demajeo Wiggins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEl7gL4tobM" target="_blank

With Worrell, Friday, and now Wiggins looks like we will have a little more height to work with. He is listed at 6' 9" 230# in some publications

Nice job coach Huger. Wonder if we got any help on this signing from new or current assistants?

Doesn't look 6'9" but seems like he has some skills. In nearly 4 minutes of highlights I didn't see one dunk.

Actually it looks like he made up his mind tomorrow. "4/23/2015 - 2015 PF Demajeo Wiggins (6-8, 224, 2★) committed to Bowling Green."
Definitely nice to get some good news.

Of the actual and still possible defections, Denny disappoints me the most so far. I don't blame any of them for looking, they didn't sign up for this mess and next year could be pretty rough. However, if they don't really want to be here, I don't want them here. Let's get some guys who want to be here and help Huger build this thing.

You must have blinked at 1:28 ;) I get what you mean. He looks fundamentally solid with a good nose for the ball. He's fairly quick, aggressive and athletic and looks willing to bang, but he could use a little more strength and explosion off the floor. Something he should be able to improve on in a college weight program. Plus like you mentioned, the video was less than 4 minutes. There are others that show him getting off the floor a little better. Looks like a solid pickup, especially this late.

I'm lost for words. 12ppg in the Northern Lakes League is not impressive at all. I think we should expect to get better recruits. We have a walk on from the same league who averaged almost 20.

I'm bummed about Zach and Delvin, but ya know, we're seeing the dregs of Louie Orr getting out. I've already said many times how players got PT, and it wasn't based on their talents.

If Zach gets his freshman year back, he can probably play 3 years at a DII or lower school, but he ought to graduate in two. As far as Parker and Tisdale, it's not a huge loss. I liked Dickerson and was hoping he'd have a good year next season.

It does make me wonder what was said in the players meetings and why they chose to get out.

Have Dickerson and Parker left too? I haven't been able to keep up this week but the last thing i heard was they were given the ok to explore options.

Parker has had the most recent positive comments about Coach Huger.

Denny's situation appears to be the most recent.

Kingston had tweeted the "eagle has landed again" with Huger and Andrews sharing a handshake/hug from their Wyoming visit and I wasn't alone in thinking that meant he was formed up. A few days later reports started surfacing that he had been given a full release. Since we are not at the OSU/UM level and we have a staff that's not been fully announced yet it is extremely difficult to gauge veracity/credibility of info at times.

The only thing we know for sure is that we have Demajeo Wiggins coming in.

Don't base things on PPG in HS, especially for big guys. Most high school players (and coaches for that matter) have no idea how to play with an actual big.

If Denny leaves, that really bums me out. He is going to be very good.

On the bright side Huger is going to be able to completely make his own team right away. But...if things keep going this way, we may be terrible next year.

Stan Joplin is Springfield's coach right? Stan probably knows how to coach a big...

I like what I see on film from this kid though. He isn't an explosive athlete by the looks of him, but he is big and strong, and a true post.

I think we can definitely have a worse front court of worrel-Friday-wiggins-mayleben for the next four (3 in the case of Mayleben) years.

Former South Grand Prairie standout '12 PG Jovan Austin receives his transfer papers from Bowling Green.

Jovan Austin now transferring.

I don't know who is telling seniors to transfer but its a terrible idea.

Doesn't instill much confidence when you hire a guy and 5 guys immediately transfer and he flies out to talk to a guy who he clearly wanted on the team and that guy says no thanks. I don't care how you want to justify it.
