I have a feeling that when the dust settles - Dickerson will be the only one leaving and we'll be ok next year.

Denny not going anywhere!
Zack Denny isn't leaving. He is one of my favorite players - so I asked him last week if the rumors I had heard about him transferring were true. He said he was staying and never had any intention of leaving!

If true that would be excellent. While a little undersized he is a tremendous worker on both ends. He was a sneaky good rebounder as well.

This would be huge. I really think if Denny and Parker come back we will be an above .500 team next year.

In the transfer deal, they list him as an RS Freshman. Will he get the year back for only playing 31 minutes?

Holy crap!! According to that site we don't have a center !
Maybe we should re-think the title of this thread..."not going anywhere" makes it sound like he has no future

Stupid ESPN. Always reporting false news. I'll rely on rumors and discussion from random coaching caravans thank you very much. If people want news they should work at BG or live in the town, or be in falcon club thank you very much. If you are expecting to know whats going on in the program otherwise you my friend are ridiculous.transfer2BGSU wrote:And don't forget those other respectable websites as well.threestooges wrote:

Re: Denny not going anywhere!
I need to reword this to " Denny Not Leaving BG "! So glad because I see a lot of upside to Denny! He's ALWAYS where the rebound is!
I think the verbal abuse from Jan's had them all worn down by the end of the season. ( losing 5 out of 7 home games). Nothing worse than an abusive drunk. I also heard - if you think he was bad when we lost - you should have seen how he acted when we won!!!!!!

Re: Denny not going anywhere!
Rumors? You have two people stating that they spoke directly to the coach. ESPN and verbalcommits.com wish they provided that kind of "sourcing".
You don't have to visit a coaching caravan....Huger has email, you could always write and ask him. Most of the kids referenced have twitter...if you're curious about thier status, tweet them and ask

If only there were people whose job was to cover BGSU sports. Their job could be to find out factual information and report it to people who are interested. They could write stories, print them on paper and people could buy the paper at stores or subscribe to it. Barring that they could publish the stories online and people would visit a website to read about it. There could also be a component of the evening news that could report information about BGSU sports...perhaps fit the stories in after local news and the weather. What a great service that would be for the fans.

>>>>>>>>> SPECULATION ALERT <<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Here's a thought. If Jans had stayed, it's really possible that some players would have transferred.
Delvin was gone no matter what. He had or was soon to have an academics problem.
We saw the end result of the Jans story, but this bar deal wasn't his first rodeo. Apparently, he was not a good fit for the BG community. Married man, living alone, and a party animal. Yeah, there are a lot of people like that, just not in the coaching ranks at BGSU. It's water under the bridge, but I wonder if Kingston had already had talks with the HC about the problem. It would make more logical sense why the punishment was so severe.
Anyway, no matter how you look at it, we lost a lot of talent going into next year. We may have a .500 season, or be surprised at the competiveness of the 15-16 squad. One good thing is that one of our assistants was a good HS coach with connections and our HC has close ties to former Falcons like S-K-R who runs a basketball clinic deal in C-Bus.
That network connection alone has to be worth a bunch. Maybe even Stan Joplin will be on the lookout for us. And, of course, the key is to find players close to BG who will bring friends an family to the Stroh Center. Now we all win.
