BG to play in a tournament at Campbell

BG will play in the Campbell MTE in Buies Creek, NC on Nov 24-26. Too bad Campbell isn't still playing in tiny little Carter Gym anymore. It was the second smallest capacity for a D-I team until they built their new arena in 2008. Their new arena is a little bit similar to the style of the Stroh Center (newer modern small gym) but theirs looks amazing from the exterior, it's all brick and looks fantastic. They also curved the seating in the two corners of the arena unlike BG. Anyway, the other three teams playing in the event are host Campbell (Big South), Abilene Christian (Southland) and USC Upstate (A-Sun).

And they were mighty proud of the fact that it was the smallest facility in D-I (the Carter Dome).

My favorite bumper sticker as I was driving around Fayetteville was a Campbell sticker - If you can't keep up with the Camel, stay the hell outta' the creek.

Buies Creek is a dry town (yep - they still have some of those around). Campbell is a very strict Southern Baptist university. If they make the NCAA tourney, they refuse to play on Sundays.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!?! BG playing at Campbell? I'll have to make the small drive down from Wake Forest (the town).
