FINAL: BGSU 81, Miami70.

Always nice to win on the road in college basketball. Got a big one with Central Michigan in the Stroh on Saturday at 3:30. Hope to see a good crowd there!

Wiggins was an absolute beast today. And against a team with a big, albeit outclassed athletically, dude down low.

Plowden was huge in the second half as well.

My comment about Koch wasn't meant to question his future, I just don't see much production right now. Plowden is certainly more of a roller coaster but I think his athleticism creates a lot of opportunity.

Double digit road win, I'll really it any day. Dominant second half offense too... Over 50 points

He looks lost defensively. Did ok today fighting a guy in the post bu that guy had no athleticism.

We're eight wins away from 20....think we'll get there?

I really think we will get to 20. 13 regular season games left, we will probably at worst split with the division opponents besides Buffalo and show our trademark inconsistency that is hopefully due to youth. Plus the potential to win at least one MAC Tourney game and if we are near 20 wins we will probably appear in some postseason tourney. I'd bet on 20+ wins.

Koch? Or Wiggins?

I thought Wiggins actually played ok defense in the post today...better than normal. Koch? Yeah, he hasn't really defended well in any game yet this year...and that really even includes like Lake Erie college. He's really quite awful defensively...especially against a 4 with any athleticism to draw him away from the rim.

Our path to 20, in my opinion:

@ Northern Illinois
vs. Ohio
vs. Kent State
vs. Eastern Michigan
vs. Akron

Above gets us to 18, and then we'll surprise in one or two of these games:
vs. Central Michigan
@ Toledo
@ Ball State
@ Kent State
@ Ohio

To me, we end the season right around 20 wins in the 2nd round of the MAC tournament. I love that we're heading the direction of hosting a first round game, even though students will be off-campus for spring break. And then next year, we're legitimately a MAC contender and finish in the top 4.

I think you are off one up top. We need to win 8 of our last 13 games, win a game in the playoffs or go on a run.
We are 1 win away from matching last year.
2015 was 16 wins.

I will be happy if we end up improving.

Koch. Wiggins was great. Koch was bodying a guy fairly well last night when he was playing the 5 position.

This team has been road warriors this year...and for some unexplained reason, has let winnable games at home get away from them. It was great to see them win at Miami, because it has been obvious to me that they are more talented than Miami. In fact, I'd say they're easily more talented than any other team in the East, except for Buffalo. Now they just have to go out and prove me right.
