Here are the tapes from his Hudl. I'm sure there are some others out there. Smooth and athletic, although he doesn't look to be the fastest guy on the court.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Another new offer at SG for 2019. 6'5" Chandler Turner out of Detroit Renaissance. Renaissance is one of the top two or three teams in the Public School League which is a very high caliber league with lots of D1 talent. Video on Verbal Commits shows him as a leaper. Other offers are Milwaukee, IUPUI, Kent, and Cleveland State.

Detroit's school system is such a mess....academics are going to be a concern for pretty much any kid coming out of there

Quite the broad brush you used Flipper. I will grant you that the Detroit Public Schools in general have lots of problems but Renaissance and Cass Tech are the two premiere high schools in the city. Here is what Renaissance indicates about itself on its website.

Renaissance High School is a DPSCD Premier Examination High School, founded in 1978. It offers a strong college prep curriculum and encompasses specialty programs which include Dual Enrollment, Advanced Placement, College Internships and a full International Baccalaureate Program beginning in fall 2017.

Renaissance is recognized for its challenging academic standards and consistently surpasses district and state proficiency in academic achievement, standardized assessments and college entrance examinations. 100 percent of our graduates are accepted to college and are awarded millions in scholarships.

You're expecting them to say "we suck"?

No, but I was expecting you to say, "Maybe I was wrong."

Justin Turner played at Renaissance. I don't believe he's had academic issues here.

Two Turners from the same HS? They aren't brothers?

Our two commits are exactly what we needed for this team. And I mean this team. The 2018-2019 version which will lose it's starting C and SF.

Eh...fine...perhaps I went too far. Academics can be an issue for a lot of kids in Detroit's PSL and the system earned a rep in the past for having dubious standards re transcript and other records
