Buffalo needs to look at how Gonzaga is willing to take a dive for the good of the conference .

Took the dog for a walk for the final 12 minutes Just couldn't listen to what I expected to happen. So glad we won. Team needs to find a way to get heart. I think they expect to lose as soon as they get some adversity

It was brutal the way the first 15 mins of the second half played out. Had some legitimately good looks early that didn't fall. Then it was like we completely forgot how to play until they tied it up. After that we showed some defensive effort and started making plays on offense.

Down the stretch it was Frye and Turner on offense with Fields playing some good defense.

Stop trying to make Wiggins a scorer. If he scores, cool, but stop forcing it.

Statistically he will go down as one of the all time BG greats. Top 20 all time scorer. 2nd all time in rebounds. It's crazy how good he could be if he played just a little bit smarter and more aggressive.

I hope we win tomorrow but am also excited for whatever tourney we land in. Extending the season is fun and will help this team learn to win in big games. Next year we will have veteran guards and Plowden and Sierra. I think we can be right in the mix again. The MAC graduates a ton of talent and Turner will be in the mix for MAC player of the year. You have to love what Plowden is becoming. It will be exciting to see who replaces Lillard, Wiggins and Uju, but 6 of our 9 in the rotation are set. The changes they need to make to play smarter should come. I think this team is perfect for a high contributing xfer grad center.

I would love to see a head transfer that is 6'9 or bigger and can extend out of the paint a bit.

I really think Turner and Frye would be more effective if we didn't have a big sitting in the middle all the time.

Credit to #10 Eugene German for NIU. He absolutely WILLED his team back into the game with his eye-popping, all-mighty 2nd half effort. Wow!

Wiggins had two mental awareness errors under the basket late which resulted in turnovers. Both situations should have been baskets. It seems like his touches in half court sets are very treacherous. He doesn't protect the ball well in the low post and needs to develop better awareness of the defense. It seems like his mind races. It will be fun following his development in the semi-pros.

Dylan Frye was very very heady. That kids plays with guts and smarts in clutch situations.

I really like Turner's decision making and how he never over extends himself on the floor.

Also, in fairness, NIU tightened up its halfcourt defense quite a bit. BG wasn't getting near as many open looks in the second half. And for BG, while we still got decent shots, they were much more contests and they simply rolled off. Uncanny.

What are the details of the 2002 men's basketball MAC championship game? Score?

Starters?

Leading scorers?

I don't remember the score, but I seem to recall we kept it close but never really threatened to win. It was against the Antonio Gates and Trevor Huffman led KSU squad that made the elite 8. Our starting 5 was McLeod-pardon-ryan-klassen-Matela. I don't remember who was the leasing scorer in that game specifically but McLeod was our go to guy and MAC poy.

That's one of the reasons why Turner could become my favorite falcon ever. He's clearly our go-to guy, but doesn't force it. He's happy to make the right basketball plays rather than making sure to "get his".

I watched it in Panama City Beach the evening we got there and that's about how I remember it.
