Pat Forde on espn.com picked us as the longshot to win the MAC Tournament. He said that we are the only team in the conference to shoot 65 percent or better from the field and might be able to get hot and make a run to win the MACC.

You'd be better off just quoting the article directly... it was "the only team in the conference to shoot 65% for a game"... I was confused for a bit.GoFalcons4 wrote:Pat Forde on espn.com picked us as the longshot to win the MAC Tournament. Now I'm just confused why he didn't say "this is the only team in the conference to string together a months worth of 15 turnover games this season"
But in the name of being positive, I know we have it in us to beat Ball State. I really wish I had an answer for what happened the past two trips out. We beat them, we get a couple days off and know that we can beat Miami(OH). After that, we're gonna need some upsets or some big time G-U-T-S, guts, to get any further than that. Then again, two wins might be the momentum they need to right this sinking ship.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't believe any team has won this championship having to play in the first round....I really would like our chances with a bye....due to our gaudy shooting percentage this year. (It's between 47-50 %) However, having to play a possible 4 games in six days may be just too much to keep shooting at that clip, not to mention if we beat BSU, Miami is waiting for us rested and angry from losing a tough one at AA, then inexplicably losing to Marshall to end the reg. season. If there was ever a year for a team w/o a bye to win the tournament though, this is the year, the most parity the conference has seen in years. Dakich has done a great coaching job this year, If he can pull this one out I will be very impressed.
