We came into this season as the prohibited favorite (media and coaches) to win the league and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. We had the school's all-time scoring leader coming back for his redshirt senior season, along with a talented and experienced supporting cast.
We got off to great a start in league play and then the bottom fell out. I am not sure what to exactly attribute this to but ultimately it has to fall on Huger. He seems to be able to recruit enough to have us competitive but never getting us over the hump.
I know I sound bitter but its been 50+ years since we went to the NCAA Tournament. I was in Anderson Arena as a student in 1982 when OU upset us, when we had homecourt advantage and our best shot at advancing to the Big Dance since 1968. It still hurts. Sadly, I am not optimistic about this year's chances. Hope I am wrong.

The first can resolve the issues with the next two...if he's a good hire.

Toledo blew a 17-point halftime lead to 6-15 Central Michigan to lose by 2 tonight.
Buffalo beat Akron to hand the Zips their 3rd consecutive loss.
There's not one truly dominant team in this league. We've got as good a chance as anyone this year.

Not with this coach that's for damned sure.

At least three more years.
