Hello BGSU family… I am honored to be able to communicate with you!
First of all.. thank You for being loyal fans to the University.. I see that it can get brutal! You truly have to LOVE your school and still support especially during times like these…
So cut to the chase, and if I curse.. it’s purely out of Passion .. and I don’t mean to offend!
Now Huger is full of s**t! And can’t coach a ant into picking up crumbs even if it’s hungry!
The reason why he said to both Me and Myron’s Mother… was he didn’t like their body language and attitudes, mind you I’m a army Vet, single parent and I don’t mess around with My Son.. he has NEVER ever in Life had a single incident where he was in the wrong! Now his attitude isn’t one that’s like he has a ugly spirit.. or a pouty kid! So I’ve been trying to ask? What do you mean.. by attitude!! Give me an example, or a situation that happened… He couldn’t! Like my son slam a door or throw a chair, nope never did anything like that.. now I’m confused.. I have the student code of conduct.. I don’t see attitude anywhere there! But again I’m confused on what kinda attitude especially NOW! And my Son.. he is a very very laid back guy… he’s not loud… he’s actually very cool! Just quiet and chill kinda kid! But when you open him up, so silly and loving .. You would have to talk to him..and feel him out! So now I asked , well coach how do you expect for a person to be when you are losing! Mind You My Son is actually a forward HE has NEVER played center in his life! And despite all.. he did pretty good! I’m proud! This whole situation has me hurt, pissed and in a fog of disbelief! Now My Son has never been late to practice! Never cursed out a coach, or faculty member.. he has. 3.5 or 7 GPA.. not sure but it’s good! No off the court stuff, no drugs, no police , no driving tickets, no girl problems, and Also he has not acted out in the locker room.. no fighting as bad as he’d like to.. Nope.. after a lose, My Son is quiet.. he has nothing to say because he’s pissed, especially when they could have won! Joe went to BGSU because he wanted to give you all a conference championship! When he saw that y’all hadn’t won since the 60’s he felt like he could come there and give y’all something to cherish! That’s his soul reason why he came! Now in truth there are kids that have cursed the coach.. nothing or told to leave the gym.. this has happened on a couple occasions. Not My Son though.. this team has a click of guys… pay attention attention to who passes to who.. and who they don’t pass the ball to! Huger tells the kids that NBA scouts are coming to the games.. and that’s why they are playing so dang selfish because they are trying to get looked at! Mind you.. there are only there are only 9 NBA players under 6’ and all of our guards can stop lying to themselves, they are NOT going to make it! That’s why they are selfish! Now why in the entire world would a coach do that? Beats Me incentive maybe? I don’t know or clearly it could be to get more out of them due to the lack of strategy and coaching! After ever lose, he says the exact same thing.. “we didn’t play hard enough! Umm why not play smarter than harder and you can win some games! The team’s basketball IQ is like small school bus slow! To My Son, that part is/was frustrating! But he never ever disrespected the coaches. This is the worst season of Basketball that My Son has ever had in his entire LIFE.. but still producing and trying to help the team win, even though Huger takes kids out of the game and they have a hot hand! OMG WTF who does that!! Kids are killing it.. and 1 they don’t even go to the hot hand, or Huger takes them out of the game! Huger has ZERO discipline.. I’m actually surprised that nothing has really kicked off, but in truth they are really good kids from good homes. As well none of the kids really respect him. You can see that by the lack of running plays.. notice he always throws up signs and calls … yeah anyways means nothing.. and their is no disciplinary action taken.. clearly there’s never a shot he doesn’t like.. But when is shooting 30% ever good… the only 30% that’s ever ok, is a chance of rain.. but shooting a basketball that’s piss poor! I hear that they have a lot of money in the program.. well in the beginning of the season My Son didn’t even have a coat! It was 20 degrees and he and a few others were wearing thin hoodie jackets! I told coach I don’t care what’s going on but get them kids a coat! It still took them a few weeks before they got them, which was back in… mid December I want to say! No excuses, my Son was so loyal that he was like the coats will be here dad … all they can wear is BGSU stuff especially in the gym!
Myron and Joe are being thrown under the bus, because Huger is lost, he’s a wash and blaming KIDS is easier to do then building MEN! The whole My Sons attitude is BS. Because he’s a good kid.. frustrated at losing hell yeah who wouldn’t, but not to this extreme! Now the sad thing and where I’m TICKED Off.. we’re in 9th place! Like Huger is such a coward and a quitter that you while using the boys as a scapegoat but all you gotta do is beat Ball St! And we are in 8th place and a possible conference tournament seed! Like 5 games left and He does this to the team! Your 2nd & 3rd most productive players! they’re not out of it…. And he all but tanks the season.. then will blame Joe and Myron.. then blame the kids in the portal! But refuses to look in the mirror and see self! Every coach knows his game.. he’s a easy Win! But those boys can scrape it out! They are trying.. especially Joe and Myron! That’s what hurts! I’m good with the fact in truth he doesn’t like Joe .. hell they’re not there to be friends, but respect your players and Man Up and show leadership, that’s why we don’t have any.. the coach isn’t!
We tried! We really did! My Sons desire was to be like an impact player in the MAC make at least second team all conference first year 1st next year! This coward doesn’t even know that these kids are pouring their hearts and souls into BGSU! There housing situation! I’m not even! They are the brokest student athletes I’ve ever seen! The stipend is nothing compared to other schools! NOTHING!
There is so much that I want to share! But I do need your help .. because We never leave a place worse than when we left it! Huger needs to GO maybe if the Frack family took their chair or folded it until Huger leaves !! Or take it with them as a statement! I feel sorry for you as fans to have to endure this! I love your history and your university! But I’m definitely fighting this thing! I may need some support or suggestions! A good push in the right direction would definitely be appreciated! Even the board of trustees! I’m down for the fight! Even though we are sad, hurt, OMG this pain is something I wouldn’t put on any person especially a young Man of My Sons caliber! Gordon and Reece did not live up to the standards of the program. But, Huger played them 23 and 18 minutes each last night and is now pulling the trigger on it when the season is basically over.

C'mon dude. For all we know, something happened after the game, or last night, or today. Say what you want about Huger, but I seriously doubt that he went into last night's game thinking, "I'll play Myron and Joe tonight, then get rid of them tomorrow."

Nope nothing happened in regards to them in the locker room ! Both were quiet and upset about the lose! But none acted out of character! Now playing them and cutting them like that… drastic move, but takes the heat off him! He already said he doesn’t know what to do! So blame it on the kids… yeah that’s it!

1) Did Huger mention starting or expectations of starting to Joe or Myron when recruiting them in the portal? Did Joe visit BGSU prior to committing? Do you feel like the staff did research as to Joe’s game? Did he know he was being recruited to play center?

C'mon dude. Reece was told to stay home and not allowed on the bus to Central Michigan. That was 2 weeks ago.

No That’s NOT what happened at all. He was never told to stay home and he can’t ride the bus! Now it’s been a couple kids that happened to But not Joe !
So Kent St game, Joes on the foul line talking with the Kent St big.. who asked Joe, “hey do you “F” with Gabe? who used to go there and transferred to BGSU.. Joe says “naw I don’t “f” with Gabe like that…. He cool and all but we don’t hang out! The other kid asked well why he sitting on the bench he didn’t want to see Me bust his A$$ huh, Joe replied He said his hamstring was hurting.. But if it were Me I’d be in the game busting your A$$ like I’m doing now! Smack talking. So we lose Gabe I guess calls or whatever a team that we just lost to I guess to kick it! I swear I don’t know how that works.. but the kid tell Gabe what Joe said. Which in truth it was never to be disrespectful.. but the fact that he not only didn’t dress out, but you’re talking on the phone with the team that we just lost to like y’all are friends.. but there’s more to the story because they don’t like each other! Gabe and his old teammate. Gabe gets mad and calls out Joe, talking crazy and Joe asked what are you talking about.. I don’t “f” with you like that, because we don’t go out.. So I can’t tell him your habits or girlfriends or anything! We still cool always we BG .. so what’s wrong! Mind you Joes in the Gym putting up shots mad after the game! Joe tells Gabe, look come to the gym let’s talk about it! If you that mad.. let’s just talk it out! Now if you mad and feel like you want to fight ok.. whatever but let’s end this because it’s really petty and he wasn’t going to go back and forth over this silly girl type mess! ! Gabe goes and tells the coaches. first was Wright who down played it because in reality it’s true and petty , Because he didn’t get the answer he wanted he cried to Noon and Noon made a big deal out of it! Told Huger.. Huger then tried to blame Joe and Joe was confused because how are we listening to a kid from another school that Gabe is talking with like they’re cool after we lost! And this is what we’re talking about and NOT us losing! Because of THAT they took Joe out of the starting lineup! That really REALLY pissed Joe off.. he realized that he was not in a good head space and told coach Watkins I don’t think I can do it today AND I don’t want to mess up your practice because this is insane and so stupid He worked his butt off to start and you take it away.. So I guess I should have just lied about it and I wouldn’t still be starting.. this doesn’t make sense.. now because he misses practice you can’t play in the game..and Joe went and talked with the life coach or whatever person, because he was ready to snap! Took accountability for himself! The game was Central Michigan who were 3-17 and never won a conference game.. easy Win! But nope They lose! So that’s why Joe was not at that game, and as a result of that Joe lost his starting position as Center! In fact because of that Huger made Joe 3rd string center… behind 2pt Gabe … Joe was hurt, confused but ok.. next game 16 minutes 17 points 8 rebounds 2 blocks and 2steals I think! Proving that He is the best person for the Job! Joe gets back in the starting lineup But (I call him Ponytail because I think it’s so cool) ponytail then cries and says it’s not fair that Joe gets to start, what I do wrong.. and they gave Ponytail back the starting position of center! Enough drama for you!

And When Joe called to tell Me, he went up to Toledo by the Great Lake… Lake Erie that’s his place to find Zen he says .. he went there to get away and told Me everything. First of all thank you for posting this and bringing this to light. I appreciate the honesty and time as it matters to us here. Second this and your other posts are my absolute favorite posts I've read here, hilarious. Lastly I hope joe is at least getting a valuable education here off the court and is able to get a worthwhile experience. I love your history and your university! But I’m definitely fighting this thing! I may need some support or suggestions! A good push in the right direction would definitely be appreciated! First of all thank you for posting this and bringing this to light. I appreciate the honesty and time as it matters to us here. Second this and your other posts are my absolute favorite posts I've read here, hilarious. Lastly I hope joe is at least getting a valuable education here off the court and is able to get a worthwhile experience. Thank You for taking the time to read our, or more So Joe and some of Myron’s story as well. Myself and Myron’s mother have officially made ourselves family as we go through this thing together! I’m really not sure because let’s be honest it’s a very hard pill to swallow. And they are very much embarrassed because this is a lie and an attack of their character. So imagine everyone constantly asking what happened? What you do? The rumors having to relive the moment each time someone asks. I’m not sure where Joe is mentally, he’s so defeated it’s hard to talk about this right now! His dreams are being shattered by a true sorry coward of a man, that used young men as his escape goat to save his job…

Coaches Corner, you like any parent will fight and defend your child to the end. As you should. I’ve enjoyed watching Joe and was looking forward to seeing him next year. Joe will have another opportunity. I few HS sports like college sports, most HS player aren’t going on to play in college so make the most of the experience and have fun. I view college players the same way, enjoy the experience and try to have fun because most aren’t going to make a living in the sport. Sounds as though you’ve raised a nice young man.

1) Did Huger mention starting or expectations of starting to Joe or Myron when recruiting them in the portal? Did Joe visit BGSU prior to committing? Do you feel like the staff did research as to Joe’s game? Did he know he was being recruited to play center?

Welcome to the board and would love to hear details of the meeting with Moosbrugger. We’ve known for years he is deep in over his head. All the best to you and hope Joe finds a real basketball program for next year.

So to your first question, Huger promised that Joe would have the green light and be able to do his thing! Mind you Joes quickness as a Big is a bonus, he was also told that they ran a fast break style and the way Joe runs they would feed him the ball, another thing to because Joe can actually dribble the ball pretty good, that he could snatch up the rebounds and GO! Also Joe was free to shoot the 3, which he has the best shooting percentage in 3’s on the team! Personally I don’t think they really took the time to check out his style and play! A coach here in St Louis knows both Wright and Watkins .. Watkins recruited us!
Now the center position….. was all bad and downhill because the other guy quit, it made it messed up, but coach asked if Joe could play it for him.. and promised that they had a 7 footer coming next year from another school and then Joe would pretty much be like Plowden and be able to shoot as much as he is now! But the only difference is My Son isn’t that selfish.. shoot Plowden has almost 200 more shots then Joe and both are tied for assist on the team!
Now the lie comes in where Joe only gets 5-6 shots a game! Where the guards are getting 15-20 then add another 5-10 in 3’s .. then turned around and was like well you are getting in your shots.. but people lie numbers don’t! That alone is frustrating especially when he wants to help but not getting the ball, and yet is 4th in the MAC conference in shooting percentage! Mainly because he takes good smart shots and not just throwing up stuff!

That phone conversation was so pathetic, he didn’t know the code of conduct for the team, and had to go get it.. Mind you the reason why the boys were dismissed is because of something in their that we still don’t understand, and I have yet to receive the email that he was supposed send!
He didn’t know what the procedures are in regards to Us as parents and our children to dispute their claims. He actually said that he’s no lawyer and doesn’t know what we should do or can provide any information on the process. But we already know that theirs a chain of command that you have to follow before we go to the NCAA and state our case!
He basically told us to write him a letter!!!
I’m like what’s the point in writing you a letter when we are talking about it right now!
That’s backwards and makes no sense…
So he took notes while we were talking, personally I don’t think he even knew that Joe and Myron are the second and third most productive players! He mentioned that he sits in on most of the practices, yet when I asked him had he seen My Son with or showing a attitude of any kind, he said that he wasn’t sure… but your at most of the practices! Also the kids say that he only comes in to make sure people are working and don’t stay long.
It felt like we were talking to a rock!
I even asked had he talked to the boys at all. He said No and mind you Myron actually had a mental health crisis that needed real attention, and they just told him and sent him on his way!
There were so many gaps within that conversation.. We left feeling like he didn’t know what he was doing but definitely was just going with the coaches decision, even though the season isn’t over! But again Huger is definitely defeated and using this as a scapegoat ! It hurt us to think that even He would go for it.
Everything about the conversation was pretty much pointless!

Do you think that if the result of the Buffalo game would have been different, that Myron and Joe would still be on the team? If BG loses 95-85 they are probably still on the team? If BG wins they certainly are?

Huger had 10 plus minutes of clock time to avoid 112 points being scored. He could have slowed that game down. He kept pressing, he kept playing starters. He kept playing two of his best players Joe Reece and Myron Gordon. Then, after the game he is reading stats and is being asked about a record breaking amount of points being scored. Everything he and the coaches read on Twitter is about 112 points. Did Huger mention the code ofconduct to Joe after he played 18 minutes in that game? Or the next day?
