I was saddened to read that Kerm Stroh, who donated millions to have the Stroh arena built, has died. Good man, dedicated so much to the university, former member of the board.
Sad day for the university.

Re: Kerm Stroh
I did not personally know Mr. Stroh, but got to talk to him before the BG - Tennessee football game in Nashville in the hospitality tent several years ago. He and his wife were very personal, down to earth kind of people and nice to talk to. On another occasion as I stood in line waiting for the arena personnel to open the gates for fans to enter The Stroh, I witnessed Mr. Stroh come out into the lobby from the court area before a girls basketball game. The workers at the gate entrance did not see where Mr. Stroh had come from, didn’t recognize who he was and made him get into the regular crowd waiting to enter the arena. Mr. Stroh did not say a word and stood with other fans waiting for the gate to be opened so all fans could enter. He could have objected and made a scene , but never said a word. A very humble and classy move. BGSU will certainly miss him.
