I attended the game on Saturday. It has been a while since I've purchased a BG hat so I figured I would do just that at the game. Nope! Not a single baseball hat for sale anywhere in the Stroh. They have a small pop-up merchandise stand in the concourse and it has shirts, basketballs, sweatshirts, and other items, but the only hats were bucket hats. I asked the workers about baseball style hats and was told to return during the week to the store downstairs (which was closed at the time) or at the union. I can't believe that I would be the only one interested in purchasing a hat at a game. Just another interesting decision by BG athletics.

The store downstairs!? They actually told you that? on SATURDAY?!

The Falcon team shop downstairs hasn't been open in YEARS. That little kiosk thing is the only merch option at the arena and has been since I think even before the COVID year. I remember when they announced they weren't going to be operating that store anymore, but cannot remember exactly when. It's been a long while though (and a perfectly designed team shop now sits empty, of course).

If you want to buy Falcon gear, go across the street and buy it from Elite. They'll actually treat you right, unlike BGSU themselves. If you want to buy from the university I'm pretty sure that the shop at the Union is the only real option. There's a tent at football games, that small kiosk at basketball games, etc.

Newlove Pro Shop in the Ice Arena has a decent selection of apparel. Not near what Elite has, but decent for an ice arena.

I only ever buy gear from Elite anymore, unless I'm buying a hockey jersey, which I get from the Pro Shop.

Thanks, not being into hockey I always forget about the store in the ice arena!

Maybe that's what they meant when they told him the store downstairs, just a quick walk across the intramural fields!
