@ Michigan State (11/16)
Re: @ Michigan State (11/16)
Very impressed how we are battling through this officiating
Re: @ Michigan State (11/16)
2:22 to play, MSU leads 78-72 and it doesn’t feel like it’s gonna happen. We played incredibly well tonight, though. I am beyond impressed.

We can't buy a three pointer
Re: @ Michigan State (11/16)
Had some really good looks, they took advantage of Johnson on the defensive end. Can’t really play small because of MSU size.
Re: @ Michigan State (11/16)
Crazy we have played this well and scored this much without being able to hit wide open threes.
Re: @ Michigan State (11/16)
Butler needs to get his shot figured out. He become almost unplayable tonight.
Re: @ Michigan State (11/16)
We went up 72-68 and then didn’t score a point in the last 7:11.
Falcons lose 86-72. Hell of an effort on the road.

Didn't make a basket in the last 7:30 and game ends on an 18-0 run. Great game for us. Hopefully the end gives us some extra motivation for the rest of the year.
This team is talented and we should all be excited

Johnson starts on fire and then tires as the game goes and his shot goes with it. If he builds some stamina, he’d be electric. Right now he’s a first half weapon and a second half liability.

I mean, really. Falcons may have lost no matter what. But that was some piss poor coaching down the stretch. Nothing but turnovers or missed 3-pointers. Never tried to keep it a one or two possession game. Just let it swirl down the drain.
That's a tough one for a Falcon fan to swallow. Those chances don't show up that often.

Re: @ Michigan State (11/16)
In Johnson's defense, he basically could barely come off the floor in the 2nd half. Michigan State 's size and Towns foul trouble created that. Really good effort and alot to build on.

Although true, it was his issue in our other two real games this year. He plays lights out in the first half and then can barely hit a shot in second halves.

Johnson played D2, and landed at Bowling Green State University for his final season. If he were a finished product he wouldn’t be here.
Re: @ Michigan State (11/16)
Our school district has our basketball kickoff event last night so had to go with our travel squad and didn't get to see any of the game. Following along a bit on the game cast man I thought we were in a good spot, but rough finish.
From reading this thread I still worry about Johnson. Was he as much a liability on this one as the others? If he won't rebound or defend his height/weight aren't really "matching size". Dude is a fantastic offensive asset but in the 2 games I've seen he's been a net negative player. It actually could prove to be a bigger issue in the MAC where there are far fewer plodding bigs and a lot more 6-9 athletes trying to play C/PF. The referees really helped us down the stretch against Davidson by calling fouls every possession; it allowed Simon to take him out every time we shot free throws.
Happy to see YoYo and Campbell continued to play well. Bottom line is tough to beat a decent team when Johnson and Thomas combine to go 3-18 from deep. Rough
