Nice little scheduling nuance jab from the MAC - the only time we play Wednesday and then Saturday (giving us our shortest Saturday game prep window) is on the road at NIU right before we host Toledo.

It's not too different from going Saturday to Tuesday, and I know the women do it all the time, but I took note of it.

Outside of avoiding Akron on the road and a second game with Ohio, this schedule is pretty brutal.

On paper they will be an underdog in all of the first 5 games.

at UMass
at Kent
Akron

Only play Central, NIU, and Buffalo once. Quite possibly the three teams picked bottom three in the MAC.

A lot of conferences are moving to starting conference play at the end of December instead of after New Year's. Interested to see if this leads to a more condensed non conference schedule in terms of days between games

I think has something to do with the MAC being at 13 teams this season. The odd number takes away the six Tuesday, six Saturday format of past. Might go back next year when Northern fades away.
