I don't have the capacity to follow the other mac teams with the transfer portal so I'm surprised to see toledo at sixth. As expected though there's a big gap between top 6 and the rest of us. Nice to see NIU dead last

The home game against Akron has been selected as a national TV broadcast and will be shown on CBSSN on Friday, January 9 at 8:00pm. It was originally a Saturday afternoon game.

MSU won the exhibition 75-66.

It was tied with 10 minutes left and only a one possession game with less than 8 to play. I didn’t watch it, but seems promising to play a top 25 team essentially even for 32 minutes in their building.

Found the game on you tube. Cambell had an off night Towns played well. Mich. St. played to win so no slouching off the exhibition. Good to see Leach get minutes. Looked like 10 man rotation with Leach Kimbrough Goins Ruffin Wol coming off bench

I watched the abbreviated game on YouTube and there was a lot to like. We out rebounded Michigan state, played them even in the second half, held them scoreless the last three minutes and played hard. It’s one game but it looks like a better roster with more length. One exhibition game does not make a season but they looked better than I would have expected.

Towns looked really good. Wrap him in bubble wrap for the non conference and you have an All MAC big guy if he can stay healthy. I agree really good length on this team. a lot of interesting pieces, will be interesting if they play smaller when not facing the Michigan St size. Shackelford should complement Campbell well.

Yeah anybody have a link to the YouTube feed? I tried to find the game, but I'm not paying for BigTen+ or whatever. The WMU exhibition was on the regular B10 channel.

Followed the game on twitter a bit, seemed like we hung in there. Towns was looking like he was ready to make that leap LAST year before he got hurt, so I hope we can have him healthy this season.

Try this. Other observations were Simon played the game trying to win it. Campbell and Towns rarely came off the floor. He sat guys in first half with two fouls. Goins was rough at times but to be expected against that size.

Reminded me of last years game. Very competitive until late and then MSU went on a run to make it look better for them.........not as big a run as last year 18-0 but similar cadence to the game. MSU's Coen Carr is a beast with a bunch of highlight real dunks and blocks. Kohler also a beast inside.

BGSU website has a decent write-up and full stats. https://bgsufalcons.com/sports/mens-basketball

- Campbell had one of his normal games when not shooting well........9 boards, 6 assists and still got 12. He also was not getting the calls when he was attacking...only 2/5 from the line.
- Towns was great, hit his first 8 shots including 4 3s. Also 12 boards.
- Wol backed up Towns so didn't see much time.
- Shackelford is a good scorer and looks like someone we will depend on for a lot.
- Goins was awful the first half but looked better the second half. He was backing up Glover.
- Glover looked ok but could not do much against MSU size.
- Thomas and Ruffin didn't do much despite my high expectations. I still hope they are strong pieces of BG this year.
- Leach, Kimbrough, Wol and Karel had minimal minutes so not much to say.
- Pardon, Adem, Squire, Spurgin, Dedivanaj and Maximud did not play.

Anybody know why Squire and Aden didn't get off the bench?
