"supporters of Bowling Green coach Dan Dakich are hoping the former Indiana assistant emerges as Dave Leitao's successor"
Supporters? Dakich has a posse? Or did his dad give Depaul's AD a call?

I agree Flipper. I have said since the onset that he would be a good fit there. He's Catholic, from the area, and doesn't have disciiplinary problems/has high academic standards for his players.
Everyone immediatly said "yeeah but what in the last few years on the court would attract DePaul" Even though DePaul is going to the Big East they may not neccasarily go for the highest priced, best available coach, they want a guy who will be a good fit and Dakich could be a good fit for this position.
I also think it would be good timing for BG. Things are kind of stale and it would still make this position marketable because, hey the last coach took the DePaul job. . .
We'll see how this plays out.

Just curious, where are these rumblings coming from?BGFalcons232 wrote:there are serious rumblings that there will be a new basketball coach after this coming season anyways, so i would imagine krebs will let him out of his contract to go to depaul if dakich decides to go there.

Don't you think the rumblings are somewhat "normal" considering the overall direction of the program? I am a Dan fan, but Buddy Powers was a great guy too but just couldn't get it done to what was expected at BG. Don't you think that there is the same pressure in this last year of Dan's contract to "get it done" with the BB program?
Kreb's question will be "has he had long enough to do what we expect him to do?" And what that expectation is----that is Mr. Krebs job to decide.
I don't think any one is starting any malicious rumors, but all who post here and others are well aware of where he is in his contract and where we are with the program.
