Stumbling through today's Indy Star, I came across a familiar face in their "Sports Brief" type section (two or three off the wall stories in each section). It was a headshot of Coach Dakich. First thought, "Cool." And then I read on....

On Monday, Wichita State's Gene Stephenson jilted the University of Oklahoma one day after agreeing to become its baseball coach. On Tuesday, university officials denied reports that Bowling Green's Dan Dakich, former Georgia coach Jim Harrick and former Georgia Tech coach Bobby Cremins had agreed to become the Sooners' basketball coach.
Ouch.
