I didn't realize it was on an asinine channel that nobody has ever heard of. My god our TV contracts are s**t.
For Spectrum, the channel is called "Fox Sports College - Atlantic". There are three Fox Sports College channels: Atlantic, Central, and Pacific. It is part of an extended sports package for me.

I found out Fubo TV has a free trial version, and if you buy the extended sports package on that you can get those channels. The extended package is also a free trial, so you don't have to pay for anything. I plan to activate it tonight so I can watch it, then I'll cancel it (I did that with ESPN+ last night).
It looks like DirecTV has them listed as "Fox Sports College Alternate" listed as Channel 608, 608-1, etc. I don't think I currently get these, but can get them if I add the sports pack, which I will. They'll pro-rate it for a day (if I cancel tomorrow) and it'll only cost a buck or less.

My channel guide lists them as FCS Atlantic, FCS Central, and FCS Pacific. Apparently it's Fox College Sports.

Also lovely, it appears that DirecTV only offers them in Standard Definition.

WHat in the living hell is the MAC doing. How do you put a conference semi final game on a channel most haven't heard of and it ends up in STANDARD DEFINITION!? How the hell is that even still a thing?

What a joke, I shoudl just go.

Speaking of going, the athletic department is offering a fan bus for tonight.

$20 for students, $54 (!) for adults. It gets you one ticket and a spot on the bus, and it has to be reserved by noon today, as the bus leaves at 5:00pm.

OK, so I forgot the advantage of being on Fox instead of CBS. Fox still gives you access to the streaming FoxSportsGo if you have the stations through your cable package.

Just tested it, and I"m good. Added the Sports Pack to my DirecTV subscription ($13/month, but pro rated by day, so can cancel tomorrow). Then use my DTV login for Fox Sports Go, and I now have access to the streaming versions of the stuff on Fox College Sports. Providence/Villanova on now (and a hockey game). Upcoming events on Fox Sports Go now shows me the BG game tonight at 9, it did not show up before adding the sports pack.

Should be good. Thank god Fox still gives you the streams for free. Can't fathom watching in Standard Definition, and have morning obligations tomorrow so really don't want to drive to Cleveland tonight (I will be tomorrow if we make the finals).

There's always the bootleg option, as well. Reddit always has a link to a live stream of every game. Just search for bowling green northern illinois about 20 minutes before tip-off and there is almost always a link to watch.

I'm pretty sure I have the channel through my U-Verse account, but if not, I'll probably find a way to stream it.

Is the stream in the app still SD, or is it HD?

The listing for our game in upcoming events doesn't differentiate. But the Creighton/Xavier game is on right now and it's HD.

I think the SD vs HD thing is just because DirecTV (and other carriers) don't want to dedicate the badnwidth to it. They can only broadcast so many HD stations. According to the dtv guide they also only air these stations when there is a game on. They don't broadcast any of the original programming.

This is how you know we're on a real big time network. :Eyeroll

This is a good question. My hunch: It will be HD. The limitation is probably on cable system bandwidth, not the feed itself. But we will see.

I just upgraded my TV package to add the sports package. I'll try and watch it on TV first. If it isn't good quality, I'm watching it on the Fox Sports App on my Roku.

Phew! I was afraid I was going to be shut out. But I was able to get signed up with FuboTV and was even able to set the game to record! Now let's just hope they honor their cancellation policy...lol. Go Falcons!

I think the only way to get it on the App is by logging into the app with a carrier account (DirecTV, Spectrum, whatever) associated with an account that has the Fox College Sports station as part of the package.

I didn't have it on the app until I added the sports pack to my DirecTV account, which I can cancel tomorrow.

For some asinine reason they don't just let you subscribe to the stream only, or even PPV to watch a single event. Stupid.

I believe there are streaming only services that offer the station (PSVue, YoutubeTV) that you could potentially get a trial, then cancel. IT's worth a thought, but a lot of hoops to jump through to watch one game. And still people tell me our TV contract isn't a joke...smh.... This is the damned Conference Semi-Finals. Prior to today I didn't even know the stupid station existed.

footballguy already said it, but if you can't find it, use reddit. I've watched literally every BG game up here in Minnesota, often in HD, no problem. I can post the link I'm using here right before tip off
