If no one else will say it, I will - this is a pretty piss-poor attitude. I really hope you didn't mean it. If you did...well, I'll just let it go.Warthog wrote:Sorry, but I have lost all faith in this team. I'll be pulling the triple header on Saturday. It's gonna be a full day of BG sports and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm really hoping for a good men's win and a hockey sweep of ND. It'll be nice to catch some of the women as well as I haven't been able to make it to many games yet. Go Falcons, get a Saturday Sweep!!!

I'll be doing the triple header as well. I'll have to play in the band for the women's game, so I'll probably just stay with the band for the men's. I wouldn't miss these games....not only because of the sports, but it's also the beheading of our mascots (in a PETA friendly way of course). GO FALCONS!

I don't know if anyone caught this except me, but this weekend is actually a quadruple header. We start with hockey tonight then don't stop the party until the hockey game tomarrow night. Its going to be an amazing weekend with little or no time for things like showering/bathing, and just enough time for the all important pregame brew.

Oh, no... I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of time for that. And if not, you're not standing next to me tomorrow at AA!The Niz wrote:Its going to be an amazing weekend with little or no time for things like showering/bathing

If that happens, you'll have to check the weather in hell, because it might have frozen over.
ok, i know that you are a pessimist but you just went to far, you are now close to ohiobobcats level. just because you cant be here to witness a weekend sweep doesnt mean you need to say tht crap...i mean our guys team is playing wright state...WRIGHT STATE...no way we should loose! and if we get good crowds for the hockey games, we'll sweep notre dame...its just too bad that you wont be here to witness it.

No offense to everyone going to the BG games this weekend, but I'd rather be at home watching other games on TV. There's a great MAC game on ESPNU tonight at 9pm. Akron at Nevada. I would love to see the Zips win...the MAC is getting zero respect this year. Maybe not as good as other years, but there are some very good teams in this league: Akron, Kent, Miami. All three are playing really good basketball right now. Buffalo and OU have really underachieved this year, but they are respectable. Let's go MAC this weekend!!
By the way, it's sad when I would rather watch Kent-Butler instead of a BG game in late February. Thank You Dan Dakich!!!

This is getting to be ri-freaking-diculous. I understand it's been a frustrating season for our men's team, but I haven't seen this kind of fair-weather support/hard-times negativity since before I moved out of Columbus...

Sorry if I get off basketball here, but what has the hockey team done since their 5-2 win over scUM back on January 21? Nothing. Two losses to Lake Superior, a narrow win over lowly RIT where if it wasn't for Horrell's brilliance we would have lost, and then two losses to a mediocre Fairbanks team. Besides, Norte Dame already beat us twice this year, what makes you think that we can beat them now, when we are slumping?svillefalcon wrote:bgsufalcon24 wrote:BGSU Crazy Fan 58 wrote: I'm really hoping for a good men's win and a hockey sweep of ND. quote]

Yes, the men's basketball team should beat Wright State. But do I expect that to happen? No. I can't ever expect the men's b-ball team to win because a. they seldom do, and b. unless they are up huge going into the final 4 minutes they'll blow it.
Gosh, I can't believe how negative that post was, but that pretty much sums up how those two teams are doing right now. Thank goodness for the ladies.
