I don't know for sure, but I heard that Sullivan might have missed a class, and it was one that DD just happened to show up for!
If that is true that Erik and Brian G. wouldn't have played because they were not at a class that DD was guest speaking at. He was a little mad they weren't attending the class that day.
Who was the one kid who sat at the bleachers on the end of the court who would go up for time-outs with the team? He had maybe a striped shirt or something.
OKAY, Ill start with positives...I agree with all that Hamblet is the real deal... My biggest thought from last night game... God we are going to get KILLED by UT and it KILLS me to say that. If Samarco is going to continue to play no defense he will never be a name that will be remembered around here. HE GOT BACK CUT BY A DIII player WHY ARE YOU GUARDING A D3 PLAYEROUT THERE!!He will always have the weakest offensive matchup and will continue to get beat. Who will he match up with in the UT game. Ingram no, Payne no, Howell no, i mean he will KILL us on D all year. But he is our best player. For all the above posts I wish we could all take our glasses off and set down our kool aid we looked flat out bad. it was a 14 point game with 3 minutes to go and we shot the best we've shot in 2 and a half years at 66%. Overall I got exactly what I expected and am reading here exactly what I expect. There is no chance we compete with the upper tier of the MAC no WAY. Polk and Matt have two great MAC bodies, Otis will foul out faster then Erick did last year and Matt, well I dont want to critique someone I feel has put up with more in his years here then he deserves for a shitty team, he just is not that good. This team misses Scott Vandermeer more then we can even fathom. And half of these guys on the team probaly dont even know who he is!... Our program is a joke if everyone here is going to fall in love with these guys. I miss stacey and daniels. Samarco is no stacy or daniels. This program CAN sustain winning DD needs to go, just like the Iraq war we need a fresh start.
As for the street clothes- Duce was injured, Miller waiting, and Sullivan xxxxxxx x xxxx. (edited until facts are presented -- Grant)

Every team is a potential Sweet Sixteen team after the exhibition game. I get totally psyched every year and then perpetually disappointed. Well, except for the year we WERE a Sweet Sixteen team. Its the inalienable right of all fans to think their 5'9", slowfooted shooting guard who can't shoot is a clear All-American until the season actually starts and you lose your first game by 20 and the 5'9" guy never sees the floor.
1 : existing in possibility : capable of development into actuality
That's all we're sayin'.... Our "5'9" guy" could grow!!

Dude, turn on VH-1 Classic. The Wiz is on. Nipsey Russell should help you relax and quit comparing BG basketball to the Iraqi War.

Chris Knight, can't play this year like Sullivan couldn't last year.

I am glad Chris Knight is sticking with the team. We are going to need him next year with Smarco leaving. If he is all that I read, he might provide some of the offense we'll lose with Smarco graduating. Lets hope Chris gets it done in the classroom this year.
