Despite my high hopes for Sullivan, I must admit that he was useless when he was on the floor. Also, at 6-6 and 215 as a 4, he would have to rely on athleticism and leaping ability until he added strength, and that was athleticism and leaping ability that was far from apparent. Furthermore, he was no threat at all beyond 6' from the basket. He might have been part of the post rotation for depth, but it seems to have been overrated coming out of high school.
This is a particularly bad outcome for Sullivan. He burned a redshirt last year and then burned at least 1/2 of a year of eligibility this year. Furthermore, he proved absolutely nothing as a player and hurt his reputation in the process. Another D1 opportunity probably is not in the cards for him.
